Smells Like Teen Spirit
[edit]Your most recent phrasing of the section is better. My concern was how it was worded before, with the description of "distinctive" elements she is "known for". Additionally, I haven't heard the Patti Smith cover, so I was erring on the side of caution with another editor who apparently had heard it. Anyway, as it stands the sentence as it is is fine now. WesleyDodds 23:59, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- I didn't delete your comment on my talk page; I simply moved it to the bottom of the talk page for convenience. If you click the "+" tab on the top of any talk page, you can create a new section that is automatically placed at the bottom of the page. I'm used to new posts being on the bottom, so I just moved the discussion there for clarity and familiarity. WesleyDodds 07:15, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
I must have been having a brainstorm then because I couldn't find it and the post now at the foot of the page is the one where I pasted back our conversation to date. Anyway, thanks for explaining the mechanism - it's a much easier and more effective way to learn. Aarkangel 08:12, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
- Additionally, forgive any perceived arrogance. My intention was certainly not to be off-putting. "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is a Featured Article and will be featured on Wikipedia's Main Page at the end of the month, so I'm trying to keep the article in the best condition (which will admittedly become harder the day it appears on the main page, an event which invariably draws vandalism from passersby). As such, I've become used to constantly revising the text; my repeated edits to your phrasing were done with the intention of finding the best wording (something that admittedly takes me a few tries). If you have any questions about the article's contents bring them up on the article's talk page. WesleyDodds 07:29, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
I've responded to this on your Talk page - the sentence is now tight and objective so (collaborative) job done.
Proposed deletion of Brynhild Olivier
[edit]The article Brynhild Olivier has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Relatives of notable people are not automatically notable. Notability of Brynhild Olivier needs to be established.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. noq (talk) 20:29, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
Articles for deletion nomination of Brynhild Olivier

License tagging for File:Vicky McClure at the RTS Awards 2010 London.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Vicky McClure at the RTS Awards 2010 London.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 17:08, 16 March 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Brynhild Olivier
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Brynhild Olivier, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. noq (talk) 07:17, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but the problem of lack of notability of her own has not yet been remedied.(Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brynhild Olivier) Though it is improved over last time, it is not substantial enough. Dlohcierekim 22:54, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
The article was substantially expanded after my first attempt to publish it, based on a good deal of careful off-line research. It is by far the most substantial information on this person of historical and literary significance on the Web. It is also better sourced and referenced than a large proportion of wikipedia articles. You were rather too swift taking it down, so I never got a chance to respond in time.
I'm not sure if you're an expert in pre-war English literature but even if you're not, you may recognise the concept of the muse or the catalyst in literary circles. If this kind of role is not sufficiently notable, you should be removing this article http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Lisa_del_Giocondo on Lisa del Giocondo since she didn't actually do anything herself and is only notable for her associations in this article. She was a muse, much like Bryn Olivier, just for painting as opposed to poetry/writing. On these grounds I would like you to recognise Olivier's role in Rupert Brooke's life and art, and allow me to republish a perfectly good article on a minor but significant member of the English literary scene of the time. If she were not notable, Professor Paul Delaney of Simon Frazer University in Vancouver would not have spent 30 plus pages on her in his book The Neo-Pagans: Friendship and Love in the Rupert Brooke Circle. - Glad you managed to get it securely established - great work!Aarkangel (talk) 07:57, 27 March 2020 (UTC)
- BTW There are a few typos towards the end of the article (from memory the first is "yong") - are you an academic specialising in this area? I got my original information on Bryn from Pippa Harris, Producer of 1917, who is related to her Aarkangel (talk) 08:43, 27 March 2020 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Hetty Kelly, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Hetty kelly. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 00:55, 11 November 2015 (UTC)

Ways to improve Theater of All Possibilities
[edit]Hi, I'm Waggie. Aarkangel, thanks for creating Theater of All Possibilities!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. All content on Wikipedia needs to be summarized from reliable sources. Most of the content in this article is not.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.
