[edit]Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Ckatzchatspy 21:54, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. See m:User:COIBot/XWiki/re-database.com for a full report on the links placed crosswiki. EdBever (talk) 11:26, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
Dear Ed, can you please tell me what is inappropriate in the list of the largest wind farms??? I know very well that there is a nofollow rule, but I added this link because I find it may be useful for the readers of this article.
- Please have a look at Wikipedia:External links. You are adding the same link to a large number of articles. I do not contend the link might be useful, but wikipedia is not a collection of links. Please consider using the link only as reference. EdBever (talk) 12:23, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
First of all this link has been added to three articles dealing with wind farms. I think this is the right place for a list of 200 largest windfarms. And three articles can hardly be called "large number of articles". Secondly also couldn't find anything that would suggest this link is out of place where it is at Wikipedia:External links. Do you have any specific part of this article in mind when deleting the link? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Aandrew81 (talk) 14:45, 15 October 2011
- It is important to discuss the objections of other users, and not to just restore your content in the face of deletion by a fellow editor. I will restore the link at Wind farm and Renewable energy, but I don't see the relevance at Renewable energy in the European Union. Remember that Wikipedia is not a web directory. --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 13:15, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
