Hi. I wanted to explain why I reverted (undid) your contributions to Islam in the United States.
While the attacks against Muslims in the United States since the election of Donald Trump are very important—and very disturbing—this is an encyclopedia article about more than 200 years of history of Muslims in the United States and the United States' relations with Islam. I don't think it's appropriate to add a paragraph about incidents in the past month.
What we should probably do is add a new subsection to the section titled "Views", which currently ends with a subsection on "American Muslim life after the September 11 attacks". Why don't you try to draft a summary of the increasingly hostile environment that has arisen during Donald Trump's presidential campaign and the crescendo of violent incidents that have taken place since his election? I think that would provide more context.
What do you think? I'd be more than happy to help. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 07:03, 9 December 2016 (UTC)
