There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:

  Help contribute to articles

  Perform maintenance tasks

The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun!
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your userpage.

Progress

[edit]

You still need to run the reflinks tool and replace the generated citations with the refrences (from open ref tag to close ref tag) on your page.

Once you have taken the Wikipedia tutorial, begin writing your article. Crtew (talk) 18:40, 9 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nick Bauhan peer review

[edit]

It looks like you have a very good start to this assignment. The sections that you have completed thus far are very informational. I would reccommend trying to find a little bit more personal information on your journalist. I would also reccommend reading through your sections and doing a little bit of sentence-reorganizing. But other than that, it seems like you are doing very well so far.

Chelsi Carter Peer Review

[edit]

Very good start, interesting story and sad that having a contrary opinion about management could have possibly led to his murder. That being said, the article mainly needs a little cleaning up, the spacing following punctuation and citations aren't consistent and this makes some sections hard to read with out distraction. Also, maybe add a Wiki-link to UNESCO instead of talking at length about it's mission, i feel it takes away from the subject.

Wikipedia Education Program: student survey!

[edit]

Hi! I work with the Wikipedia Education Program, and I'm hoping to get your feedback about your experience this semester! In order to help other students like you enjoy editing while contributing positively to Wikipedia, it would be very helpful to hear from real program students about their experience, so we know what to change. The survey takes no more than 10 minutes, and I'd really appreciate your response!

Thanks so much! JMathewson (WMF) (talk) 01:59, 18 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
