Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on User:APAPAHQSacramento requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:

  1. Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  2. Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  3. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  4. Provide a new username.

To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Pickersgill-Cunliffe (talk) 18:13, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Requested username:

Request reason:

I understand the account and page has been blocked due to components of the article being perceived as promotion for an organization. To edit this page, I will delete the "Visit the APAPA events page and calendar here: Find your chapter here: https://www.apapa.org/chapter Chapter resources can be found here: https://www.apapa.org/chapter-resources More chapters are developing each year! Find out how to start a new chapter here: https://www.apapa.org/new-chapter-application" within the article. I will also delete the Ethnic Media portion whole. I will also edit the language to be non-posessive and unbiased. For example, instead of saying "we inspire..", I will edit it to "the mission states that..". Lastly, I believe this account and article should be unblocked because it was made to mirror the published Wikipedia page for OCA-Asian Pacific American Advocates. To address the COI, I added the disclosure at the top of the article.

Decline reason:

Right now you won't be unblocked to, in the short term, edit about your organization. Once you have a good edit history showing your understanding of relevant Wikipedia policies, you may later be permitted to indirectly contribute about it, but not in the near term. If you are interested in being a more general contributor, please tell what other topics you might edit about. 331dot (talk) 18:29, 10 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
