Pixar
Those article probably are within the scope of the project, although I can understand your question. A situation which arises a lot regarding popular media in any form is whether an article which is clearly related to a particular variation on a given subject, but which does not clearly fall within the apparent scope of that project, is one which that project can and often should be among the better projects to improve. As a concrete example, many of the Batman movies are also tagged for the Comics project, because that project is among the ones most interested in the subject and most knowledgable about the subject. The same probably apply for the "other media" variations on the Pixar subjects. This is not to say that that project is among the only one which might be interested in the subject, however, just that it is one which can clearly be likely to provide some information regarding the subject.
To the best of my knowledge, there is no way to remove the categories for the main project of a given banner from any article assessed with their banner. I've never seen it, anyway. But, if the Pixar group ever becomes inactive, and it could, the parent project would hopefully still be operating at least to some degree and be able to provide that same information that the Pixar group would, if not necessarily as quickly. Orphaned non-free media (Image:BikiniBottomTNL.JPG)
Thanks for uploading Image:BikiniBottomTNL.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:10, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

This WikiProject is having a revival and is trying to determine the direction it will be heading in the future. Questions are being asked, and exciting things are coming in the future, including the bringing of 1345 and other year articles to GA and even FA status. You are listed as a member and are invited to respond to this roll-call by putting an asterisk next to your username on the members list to show that you are still active in the project. Thanks. Wrad (talk) 20:24, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
I suggest we start with a copy of the current Main Page, called Wikipedia:2008 main page redesign proposal/Main Page Draft, and through edits and discussion transform it via consensus into the new Main Page that will be proposed to the community for final approval. Competitions won't work (we tried that last time), because submissions that are only slightly different from each other will divide the vote between them which will drive their basic common design out of the competition, obscuring its support as well as support for particular design elements. Each new design element or change needs to be discussed on the talk page of the community-developed draft, to arrive at a consensus for each as to whether it should be included or not, and what each design element should look like. We need to literally get on the same page and integrate the best features of all those wonderful designs that have been submitted. Let the edit wars editing and discussion begin! :) The Transhumanist 01:23, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
Proposal for standard infobox for History of [country] templates
Hi there! You're a member of WikiProject History, so I'm just informing you about a proposal I've made about standardizing History of [country] templates (like Template:History of France). The discussion is located at the talk page for WikiProject History—your comments and criticism are welcome. Thank you. Mr. Absurd (talk) 05:02, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

WikiProject Nickelodeon Newsletter - September 2008
Nicktropolis a GA candidate The article Nicktropolis is currently a GA candidate. It was nominated on August 14, 2008, and, as of press, is still pending a review. You can review the article, just be neutral when you do. Here's the important links: |
New look You may have noticed some changes around the home page (and the newsletter). WP:NICK is getting a face lift, and so are most aspects of it. Jonathan and Macy are working on this so far, but we'd love your help! If our code has an issue, or you think a new bit of code will make it look better, feel free to work with it! |
Collaboration of the Month Our next collaboration depends on the pending GA review of Nicktropolis.
|
Archives We made a new page just so we can archive these newsletters. Go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Nickelodeon/Newsletter. I felt that was a bit lengthy, so I made a shortcut just for it. It's WP:NICK/NEWS. I created that so, if our delivery boy fails, you can still access the newsletter. |
Editor's note on the hiatus The newsletter went on hiatus for around 3 months because I took a wikibreak to get away from all the drama on Wikipedia. Let me tell you, though: I'm back, and I feel better than ever. So don't expect me to put the newsletter on hiatus for a long while. |
Kudos
Help
AMK152,
I'm trying to make the "List of Programs Broadcast by Nicktoons Network" page like the "List of Programs Broadcast by Nickelodeon" page. But when I Previewed the "List of Programs Broadcast by Nicktoons Network" page, the current shows (which was the one I was editing)moved to the references part of the page! Can you help me move it back to its place?
Thanks,

Main page redesign
Hello, AMK152! Wikipedia:2008 main page redesign proposal was recently cleared of all design entries. You may want to re-enter your design(s), based on the details here. (You can see the old list of designs here). NOTE: A survey was conducted on what users wanted to see in the new main page, you can see the results here. NickPenguin(contribs) 01:49, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
Straw poll
The Main Page Redesign proposal is currently conducting a straw poll in selecting five proposals before an RFC in which it will be against the current main page. You're input would be appreciated. ChyranandChloe (talk) 03:55, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you for your support of my design in this poll. I just wanted to drop a note to inform you that the wrong version of my design was placed in the poll. The current version is here. The differences may or may not affect your decision. Regards, لennavecia 02:55, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
WP:NICK Newsletter — October 2008
New homepage! We've redesigned the home page for (hopefully) the last time for a while. If you don't like the new design, the old page is archived here. To match the new design, the newsletter's format has also been redesigned. I hope you like it!
As the member list seems to have gone basically stale, I have removed all members from the list and moved the member list to a page that is transcluded onto the home page. Please DO NOT add your name to the homepage! Thanks! |
Sorry this issue is a bit late... Personal obligations have overtaken my Wikipedia time, and I haven't exactly had time to send out this issue. November's issue is coming soon. I promise. :-)
Every month, I choose an article that I think needs help, or is just plain interesting. This month's article is Nickelodeon Magazine. Nickelodeon Magazine's article needs help. There are no sources. I know, for this page, it's practically impossible to get it to a FA, but let's imagine we're trying to get it to FA status. That will be a motive for us to add sources, improve the writing, etc. Let's work on this article for the wellness of it! </pep talk>

WP:NICK Newsletter — Holiday 2008
Holiday issue?! We know you're going to be busy this holiday seasons, from ordering iPods to unboxing them. So we've decided to combine two newsletters into one: the Nickelodeon WikiProject's Holiday Newsletter. Hope you enjoy it!
If you were a member of WP:NICK before the relaunch, please, please, please add your name to the member list! We need as much help as we can get! We currently have 5 members, down from a previous 40+. We know some of you are still here! |
Happy holidays! I hope all of you have a safe and fun holiday season, so get outside, enjoy the sunshine while it lasts! (in the Northern Hemisphere) For our Southern Hemisphere folks, get outside, and enjoy the sunshine, since it's spring/summer there!
We now have the answer on what to do with this long-lasting dispute. The community has decided to split the Nick.com section into its own article. For this reason, I have opened a sandbox here. Let's get moving so we can fix this quickly!
|
Slight layout changes We have made a few layout changes, some of which are temporary. You'll notice, compared to last month's issue, that there was an image in this column. It is now gone temporarily for the holiday (double) issue. Also, we have removed the box with the delivery notice to make it less flashy (and there were div issues, if you're techie).
Note: This is a double issue, so we will not have an article of the month this time around. Sorry! |

In 2009, WikiProject Years developed a essay for the inclusion of events "recent year" articles.
Important policy discussions took place in January 2009 at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style (dates and numbers) and at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Years.

Oldest Person living
Hello, my name is André, I am brazilian and I was doing some research on internet about oldest people living, then I found stuff here on wikipedia. I've checked this table with lots of information and I must say it may be wrong...
I mean, I was reading the local news and I read this tread about a brazilian woman that was born in 1880 and is still alive!!! She has 129 years, 384 descendents, I find this pretty awesome.
Would you be interested in knowing more about this person? Actually I want to share this information with the world, but I don't know how exactly.
Her name is Maria Olívia da Silva | 02/28/1880 (129)
And 2 days ago died another brazilian aged 116.
Anisio Rodrigues Alves (116)

Or if not interested send me a e-mail anyway, I must find a way to spread this information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rooftrellen (talk • contribs) 06:07, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
