Gidday, and welcome to Wikipedia. Since you haven't been formally welcomed, see Template:welcome for the standard greeting.
I've reverted your addition to Ashburton, because information about Designline should go into that article rather than into the city article. Also, if you could provide a reference, that would be great. I couldn't easily establish the purchase of Designline with a Google search, but if you can link to a news article about it, or at least give the name of the purchaser, the information becomes more readily verifiable.-gadfium 06:36, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
- I hadn't realised it was such current news. Please do add it to the Designline article, with a citation for the Ashburton Guardian. Citations don't have to be online; obviously it's easier for others to check online citations, but in theory, anything which can be checked in print is fine as a citation. You don't have to use the formal citation templates {{cite news}} or {{cite press release}}, which can be a little intimidating for those not expert in Wikipedia, just add something like (Ashburton Guardian, 1 September 2006, page 1). If you do want to use the templates, see their talk pages for examples and hints.-gadfium 08:46, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
