Information icon Hello, I'm Electricburst1996. I noticed that you recently removed some content from List of programs broadcast by Boomerang without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Nick Jr. Australia and New Zealand

[edit]

Hello AHSApacheStudent,

I see that you have renamed the article Nick Jr. (Australia) to Nick Jr. (Australia and New Zealand) and wanted to follow up with you. I have had a look and see that the website addresses listed on Sky Television (New Zealand)'s website redirect to the Australian based websites (e.g. www.nick.co.nz redirects to nickelodeon.com.au). However, I can't help but notice that the Australian article has very few details regarding the service in New Zealand and I found that all details relating to the channels availability in New Zealand are instead listed in Nick Jr. (Southeast Asia). My question is then are you planning on moving the New Zealand details across or do you wish for it to be done by another user?

Thanks and if you have any queries don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page,

Proposed deletion of Nature Cat

[edit]

The article Nature Cat has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unsourced, no indication of WP:notability. WP:TOOSOON

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. noq (talk) 23:26, 22 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Freeform/ABC Family

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give ABC Family a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Your undiscussed move of MTV Tres

[edit]

Your undiscussed move of MTV Tres to Tr3s, and similar changes to the article text, seem disruptive. The title has been discussed before (see Talk:MTV Tres) and a consensus was reached that is contrary to your action. If you think a different title is desirable, you should open a new discussion (see instructions at WP:RM) instead of just unilaterally moving and changing the article without discussing it first. —BarrelProof (talk) 02:14, 27 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Television episode list splits

[edit]

Please do not split television episode lists without ensuring:

  • There is sufficient content in the new season articles to justify a split
  • Articles are properly referenced
  • non-free content is not improperly used in season articles
  • Season articles are properly transluded to the episode lists
  • Attribution is provided at the episode lists and season articles. This is a legal requirement.

The above are some common problems with the splits that you have conducted. Splitting articles is not just a case of copying content to another article, adding an infobox with an improperly used non-free image, and then hacking some content from the original episode list. Splits must be carried out properly, in accordance with policies and guidelines. Thank you. --AussieLegend () 21:42, 7 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of programs broadcast by Discovery Kids (Latin America), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Hi-5. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:37, 27 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistent disruptive editing. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 09:30, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • I've blocked you for disruptive editing and I thought I'd explain the reasons for this. Since you signed up in May 2015 you've been blocked once and received many, many warnings for making controversial moves, edits, and article creations. Here's some examples of your edits:
  1. On several pages you changed air dates for television shows, inserting information that was reverted by others as false or incorrect.
  2. You've made several article moves, some of which don't really fit policy. For example, we don't move channels to their initials unless it's made their formal name, akin to how Music Television changed their name to MTV. Sometimes, rarely, a channel could be under the initials per WP:COMMONNAME but there would have to be an extraordinary amount of coverage to warrant this. Some of your moves were done despite a consensus on the article talk page that ended with the decision that the page should not be moved.
  3. You've taken content from episode lists to create season specific pages. Sometimes content forks can be warranted, however there is a very specific way to go about this. You need to make sure to attribute the content accordingly and you also need to see if the move is warranted, as you have to establish where the season is notable enough to warrant its own article - or that there is so much content at the main list page that it'd require a content fork.
What's troublesome about this is that you've received so many warnings andyou received a temporary block at one point in the past, back in August of last year, yet you don't seem to actually be discussing this on anyone's talk pages or on the article talk pages. Communication is an extremely important element of Wikipedia, especially if you've made controversial edits.
I think that you likely mean well and I don't think that any incorrect information was added deliberately, so there's a chance that you could be unblocked. Here's what you need to do in order to show that you can follow policy:
  1. Promise that you will start communicating with other editors. If you start receiving warnings that your edits are seen as disruptive or vandalism, you need to start doublechecking your sources and discuss things on the talk page.
  2. Seek out a mentor via the processes detailed here. I also heavily recommend that you go through one of the training programs like WP:ADVENTURE and utilize WP:TEAHOUSE before making any large edits or moves.
  3. Show that you understand why you were blocked and others found some of your edits problematic.
If you can do this then that'd help us understand things from your perspective and also help show that you can edit more constructively. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 09:52, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Note: This user is suspected of creating a new account to evade this block and it appears to be a WP:DUCK situation. Now, on top of the above requirements, the user now has to also show that they understand that sockpuppetry is against WP's guidelines and also give an explanation as to why they opened a new account.
