footballkits

Hello,

Over the last few months I have created several football/soccer final pages. I have asked someone to create the kits for the page and he has created some, but he is very busy at the moment so he can't create many right now.

I was wondering if you know how to create different colors so that it can be used for the kits on the finals pages.

See Template:Infobox football club and Template:Football kit. The colors seem to be simple RGB values; the patterns are much more complicated. Huon (talk) 17:40, 7 December 2013 (UTC)

help

This is User:Tristan.andrade.136 I am trying to say I researched Totally spies! Wikipedia it was said ABC Family(USA) first on November 3 2001. I also ask if you could please notify me the colour codes for colours Thank you please contact me if you need anything

 User:Tristan.andrade.136
I don't think the day it first aired is all that important; we don't give that level of detail for any other program. Regarding the colour code issue, please be a little more explicit: Codes for what colours, in what context? I believe colours are usually encoded as RGB values with two hex chararacters each; for example, #FF0000 would be bright red. See also Help:Using colors. Huon (talk) 22:52, 10 December 2013 (UTC)

Turn off notification for me?

Hi, I've been adding templates using AWB, but see from your notifications that I have mismatch on the brackets. That will get corrected when I rerun AWB for the same list of pages -- but I cannot do that because I keep getting email notifications... and I have to open up a new browser page for each one from AWB.

Do you, by chance, know what can be done so that I can get these corrected asap?

Thanks! (I'll check here for an update)--CaroleHenson (talk) 22:23, 10 December 2013 (UTC)

I don't know if you did something ... or if my change to email preferences fixed it, but I'm good to go and have made the fixes via AWB. Thanks!--CaroleHenson (talk) 22:37, 10 December 2013 (UTC)
If all else fails, you can turn off BracketBot notifications yourself; see User:BracketBot#Opting out. Huon (talk) 22:52, 10 December 2013 (UTC)

ReferenceBot: please add more categories (and a documentation suggestion)

What would it take to get the following categories added to the list of categories that ReferenceBot checks and notifies editors about?

  • CS1 errors: ISSN
  • Pages with citations having wikilinks embedded in URL titles
  • Pages with citations using conflicting page specifications
  • Pages with citations using translated terms without the original‎
  • Pages with citations using unnamed parameters
  • Pages with DOI errors‎
  • Pages with empty citations
  • Pages with OL errors
  • Pages with URL errors

All of the above categories have been cleared of their multi-thousand-article backlogs (although there are about 100 total right now, with about 20 new articles added each day).

Also, this is a request to list the categories that ReferenceBot checks on its User page. Saying that it checks for all errors is not currently accurate. Thanks. I'll be happy to help in any way I can. – Jonesey95 (talk) 20:05, 17 November 2013 (UTC)

@Jonesey95: It will be all errors once I finish with it. (Yes, my bot userpages tend contain legacies and prophecies.)
As per a suggestion on the request page, I started with just a few categories, those suggested by Frze. I'm still tweaking the code, so haven't really looked at adding categories. If you look at this edit, you can see what I'll need in order to add the other categories. 930913(Congratulate) 09:17, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
It is not clear to me what I am supposed to conclude about what you need from the diff you linked above. I will be happy to help in any way I can if you can be more clear about what you need. Sorry to be dense. – Jonesey95 (talk) 06:17, 30 November 2013 (UTC)
In the format *Category* --> *Description*, so
"Category:Pages with broken reference names" --> "a [[:Category:Pages_with_broken_reference_names|broken reference name]] <small>([[Help:Cite_errors/Cite_error_references_no_text|help)</small>"
becomes what you can see on here and here. 930913(Congratulate) 00:58, 10 December 2013 (UTC)

Here you go:

"Category:CS1 errors: ISSN" --> "an ISSN error (help)"

"Category:Pages with citations having wikilinks embedded in URL titles" --> "a wikilink error (help)"

"Category:Pages with citations using conflicting page specifications" --> "a duplicate page number error (help)"

"Category:Pages with citations using translated terms without the original‎" --> "a translated title error (help)"

"Category:Pages with citations using unnamed parameters" --> "an unnamed parameter error (help)"

"Category:Pages with DOI errors‎" --> "a DOI error (help)"

"Category:Pages with empty citations" --> "an empty citation error (help)"

"Category:Pages with OL errors" --> "an OL error (help)"

"Category:Pages with URL errors" --> "a URL error (help)"

Let me know if you need anything else. – Jonesey95 (talk) 19:16, 12 December 2013 (UTC)

Untitled section

Can you turn off your bot please - on Royal Forest for example it is suggesting that the notes need to have a heading of "references". This is plainly wrong, and so you may need to make some adjustmentsWikidea 12:35, 16 December 2013 (UTC). Thanks,

@Wikidea: What you did broke the page, as is evident by the red text at the bottom of the page. I will fix this now; it is caused by a misformatted reference below, using ref tags. --Mdann52talk to me! 13:19, 16 December 2013 (UTC)
I apologise if I did in fact break the page - but I couldn't for the life of me see what was wrong! Thanks for fixing it. Cheers, Wikidea 19:27, 16 December 2013 (UTC)
