Speedy deletion of "Western Australian Youth Parliament"

[edit]

A page you created, Western Australian Youth Parliament, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is very short and provides little or no context.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. ukexpat (talk) 16:07, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article on Cameron Barnes was deleted for failing to assert notability under our biographies guideline. Generally, for politicians, the benchmark is being elected to parliament. Orderinchaos 10:37, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Youth parliament articles

[edit]

Please take a look at WP:N, WP:V, WP:RS and WP:SPAM for guidance in creating these articles in accordance with WP policies and guidelines. You should consider creating these articles as sub-pages of your user page where you can work on them without risk of them being deleted. – ukexpat (talk) 13:39, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Coming along great

[edit]

This article is looking good. UKexpat is right, the guidance can really help. One strong suggestion is to use references from Australian newspapers and magazines when they write about the program. AKRadeckiSpeaketh 16:09, 4 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
