Edit Warring Policy

[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Yesudas. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

please see User talk:Srkris

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Ayesha1.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ayesha1.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. MECUtalk 02:01, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Raja-gu.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Raja-gu.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 21:27, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the derogatory comment about Mohammed Rafi in the Yesudas wiki since it goes against the recommended use guidelines of wiki. It does not enhance the popularity or talents of Yesudas but it actually degrades the quality of the rest of the information. There is also no hard reference to confirm a hearsay statement that is otherwise unbelievable. I had also earlier removed this statement and noticed that you undid the removal. I have once again removed it. If you dont agree kindly provide a hard reference to verify the contents of this statement. If we dont agree with this and again put that statement back without proovable reference we will need to elevate this for proper resolution. desibhai 16:22, 6 August 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ekdesiandy (talkcontribs)
