Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Exchange rate do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Dr.K. λogosπraxis 12:56, 12 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Exchange rate. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Dawnseeker2000 04:29, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi & welcome to Wikipedia! The link isn't needed. Our articles are supported by reliable sources. Everyone it seems, including yourself, has a favorite exchange rate website. And it's for this reason that they all add their links to articles. You can imagine what happens when all those people add those links! Yup, the articles become nothing more than link farms and that isn't what Wikiepdia is about. We're constructing an encyclopedia. Again, one that is based on high quality sources. Yes, other rubbish exists, but we're doing our best to keep out unwanted material. Have a great day! Dawnseeker2000 04:50, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please read the guidelines for linking to external sites at the page in the link WP:ELNO; we generally disallow sites that serve no more than advertising purposes and don't provide additional information already in the articles. The urcurrency.info site, as far as I can tell, does not have any sort of textual information to help the reader understand the articles better; instead, it shows a conversion process for different monies, which is not considered useful in this encyclopedia. Also please refrain from adding the links again and again, especially to other wiki sites, because this may be considered SPAM; otherwise, this may lead to BLACKLISTing of the site (which means you will never be able to add it again). :| TelCoNaSpVe :| 05:36, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
