Problem edit warnings

[edit]

Hello! I noticed your edit to User talk:Ewalx and wanted to first thank you for helping in patrolling non-notable additions to articles - that's always helpful around here - and secondly gently suggest that when you do warn an editor for these kinds of edits, to be a little more politic in how you do so. In this case, looking at the editor's other contributions, they seem to be editing in good faith, so a polite note that we generally don't include people without their own articles in things like alumni lists is better than referring to their edits as "puerile". If you're catching a lot of vandalism, it's often best to use a template - there's a list at WP:WARNVAND; you can just start a new section, copy and paste, sign and off you go. Please keep in mind that civility is a core tenet around here. Thanks for your edits! Tony Fox (arf!) 19:12, 21 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, while I recognize their comments to you were sharp, your response to Ewalx is inappropriate. Please tone it down, and I'm going to advise the same for them. Be more civil, please. Tony Fox (arf!) 20:56, 21 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
