Covid

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in edits about, and articles related to, COVID-19, broadly construed. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Dispruption

[edit]

It is now time I think for a warning. Your edits are wp:tenditious and wp:disruptive, wp:dropthestick and move on.Slatersteven (talk) 09:47, 2 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

::I have not made any edits to the article whatsoever - Get your facts right before you cast about accusations.
It does not matter if you have made no edits to the article, you are wasting people time on the talk page. You have been asked to read our policies and comply with them, by more than one user. So drop the matter now.Slatersteven (talk) 16:09, 2 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Go and edit something else, no one is asking you to keep checking on any article. It doesn't belong to you, me or anyone else. So see WP:OWN
I have edited something else, you seem to have only edited this. As an wp:spa that is only using our talk pages (it seems) as a wp:forum you are heading for a block. If you keep on I will report you. I will not say anything more here, the filled is yours. But if you continue to waste users' time I will take it to wp:ani, you have been warned.Slatersteven (talk) 16:16, 2 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I will break the above to add an additional waring, as a SPA taking an experienced user to ANI (even if they have reached the rules), especially over Covid misinformation, may not quite go as you plan. Generally, leniency is shown (I sometimes disagree) towards experienced edits who are seen as having been provoked.Slatersteven (talk) 16:27, 2 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am only discussing on the talk page which is allowed - I haven't used Wikipedia in quite a while, and only came back to it a few days ago. If you are fair you will give the editor who attacked me a warning. But what was my personal attack? - I addressed no one personally and did not attack anyone. I have not posted or edited the article only discussed the the merits of a source and whether "controversial" better described Bhakdi's views. I think you should desist from posting here without good reason. There was no provocation at all. The editor under discussions comment to me seems to fit WP:POVRAILROAD. If I so decide I will take matters further if or when I need too, or if there is a repetition of the behaviour, your attempt to discourage me from doing so here notwithstanding. Hope that I have made myself clear?

Last warning due to dispruption

[edit]

Last warning. As pointed out above your edits are wp:tenditious and wp:disruptive, wp:dropthestick. --Julius Senegal (talk) 16:08, 29 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Nope. Nothing at all wrong with what I was saying on the Sucharit Bhakdi Talk Page. Have a nice day.
