Romanization of Russian
[edit]Please stop changing the Romanization of Russian names without consensus to do so, as you did here. voorts (talk/contributions) 19:07, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
- If these names can be easily translated into English, why not? If it were up to me, I would write the name "Nikolai" as "Nicholas". I'll discuss this with you. 81.215.236.45 (talk) 19:10, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi IP, we have a guideline on how to Romanize non-English names. Wikipedia follows reliable sources in how they Romanize those names, and we keep names consistent with the article title. Some of the names you are changing the Romanization of were consistent with their article title. For example, the article Viktor Khristenko uses the letter "k" in the first name, not "c". voorts (talk/contributions) 19:13, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
