Good work on fringe theories
[edit]Hello 81.147.137.6,
It seems pretty belated, but welcome!
I've enjoyed your investigative work on the theosophy articles. You've been doing good work on combating the misuse of Wikipedia by users with agendas of promoting fringe theories. That is something I strongly believe in. Like the userbox on my user page says, "This user enjoys investigating suspected fringe theories."
I want to strongly encourage you to get an account. Lots of reasons are listed at WP:REGISTER. I wanted to emphasize two reasons.
(1) In my experience, 90+% of IP edits are vandalism or else totally misguided (e.g. adding unsourced personal opinion). As a result, IPs tend to subconsciously get taken less seriously. Having an account shows you are a serious editor. You already are, but it shows it.
(2) I wanted to email you some information regarding fringe content on Wikipedia. It's some findings of my own that wouldn't really make sense to put on the noticeboard at this time. To maintain privacy, you can create a new Gmail account with a pseudonym, and use that email address when getting your Wikipedia account.
Thanks again for fighting fringe theories.

[edit]Regarding this, I also wanted to let you know that the PROD tag should not have been restored. WP:PROD explains that anyone, for any reason, can remove the tag, and that the PROD is permanently canceled. Such an article can still be sent to AfD however. -Crossroads- (talk) 20:22, 1 November 2019 (UTC)

This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
