Places

[edit]

Regarding to the town/village-status of places, could you please follow the sources instead of your own opinion? The Banner talk 22:50, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. As per @The Banner above, when in doubt, please consider consulting the respective County Development Plans. The Kerry County Development Plan 2022-2028, for example, defines a "settlement hierarchy" which includes: "Key Town", "Regional Town", "District Town", "Village" and "Small Village Settlements". Ballybunion and Cahersiveen are classified as "Regional Towns". A level above a "District Town". And well above a "Village" (or "Small Village").
Same goes for the Limerick Development Plan 2022-2028. Which defines 6 levels in its "settlement hierarchy": "Limerick City and Metro Area", "Key Towns", "Towns", "Large Village", "Small Villages" and "Rural Clusters". Again, we find Dromcolliher classified as a "village". And not, as you have indicated, as a "town".
Please use the sources. And not your own (frankly inconsistent and entirely arbitrary) "guesses". Guliolopez (talk) 23:01, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
