Wikipedia username

[edit]

Hi there, I see you've edited a few weather articles, including tornadoes, and the 2023-24 Asian winter. As you can see from my username, I'm also interested in meteorology, and I've been editing Wikipedia for decades at this point. Needless to say, we're always in need of editors, and it's free to make a username, plus you can get the satisfaction of adding to one of the most-visited websites on the internet, and help out by making the world a little bit less ignorant. There's a whole community of editors at Wikipedia:WikiProject Weather, which you're welcome to join after (if you make an account). Stay safe and be well, wherever you are. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 21:52, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit on Tropical Storm Harold

[edit]

Hello,

I reverted your edit on Tropical Storm Harold due to this blurb from the NHC's TCR:

"Deaths occurring as a direct result of the forces of the tropical cyclone are referred to as “direct” deaths. These would include those persons who drowned in storm surge, rough seas, rip currents, and freshwater floods. Direct deaths also include casualties resulting from lightning and wind-related events (e.g., collapsing structures). Deaths occurring from such factors as heart attacks, house fires, electrocutions from downed power lines, vehicle accidents on wet roads, etc., are considered “indirect” deaths."

I would've included this in my revert action but the rollback feature doesn't allow me to do so. I'd also like to extend the offer from Hurricanehink from above to register an account and start editing with WikiProject Tropical Cyclones, if you haven't done so already.

Happy editing. JayTee⛈️ 15:54, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

That’s weird but alright. 71.190.208.91 (talk) 17:17, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
