You are welcome to continue editing without logging in, but many editors recommend that you create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits such as the ability to create articles. In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}}
before the question on this page. Again, welcome!

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your recent edits to Lawrence School (Sanawar) have been reverted as they could be seen to be defamatory or potentially libellous. Take a look at our welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. RadioFan (talk) 14:07, 4 March 2012 (UTC)

However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:The Matrix Revolutions are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic or unrelated topics. Your recent edits
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 16:01, 23 June 2017 (UTC)

A belated welcome!
[edit]Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, 65.88.88.200! I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may still benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:
Need some ideas of what kind of things need doing? Try the Task Center.
Do you know about the advantages of getting a free account?
You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but if you wish to acquire additional privileges, you can simply create a named account. It's free, requires no personal information, and lets you:
- Create new pages and rename pages
- Edit semi-protected pages
- Upload images
- Have your own watchlist, which shows when articles you are interested in have changed
Note that in order for the first three features to be available, you must have had an account for a minimum number of days and made a minimum number of edits. If you edit without using a named account, your IP address (65.88.88.200) is used to identify you instead.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Again, welcome! ~ ToBeFree (talk) 22:30, 15 December 2022 (UTC)

Most of the stuff you've done is good but you've added australiaunwrapped.com as a source back into the infobox and that source is unreliable because it's a blog. Also The Forward article doesn't mention Avi or Avraham once, how is that of any use? I'd suggest remove both of those citations. There are other citations which reference Avi's birth name which are already in the article which are useable, you don't need to rely on those two. TarnishedPathtalk 01:57, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
- OK. I added new references which hopefully pass muster. Thanks, 65.88.88.200 (talk) 22:18, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template. If you have questions, please contact me or ask at the Arbitration Committee Clerks Noticeboard.

- Please let me know if I have inadvertently violated any of the above topic rules. Thanks, 65.88.88.200 (talk) 22:19, 29 January 2024 (UTC)

Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello 65.88.88.200! Your additions to Gail Lumet Buckley have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. —Compassionate727 (T·C) 22:44, 11 September 2024 (UTC)
Deadlinks
[edit]Hi! Just so you're aware, a link being dead isn't a reason to remove it. Many links can be saved by finding archived versions. See WP:DEADLINK for more info. Thanks! AntiDionysius (talk) 23:13, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
Yasantha Rajakarunanayake
[edit]Hi hello, I noticed that you changed my wordings which I included in the article Yasantha Rajakarunanayake as you mentioned in your edit summary claiming it as grammar concern. I did check it and cross verify through Quillbot as it insisted that there aren't any issues with my wordings. I noticed you removed the word subsequently in the article.
"Bezos, during the talk, further revealed that Yasantha had easily solved a mathematical problem that Bezos and his roommate could not solve, which had subsequently led Bezos to give up on becoming a theoretical physicist." Abishe (talk) 07:59, 12 October 2024 (UTC)
