Speedy deletion of The Wacky Bodybuilders

[edit]

A tag has been placed on The Wacky Bodybuilders requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Proposed deletion of CNBC UK

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article CNBC UK, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Hoax articles or some sort of problem?

[edit]

Hi 5ivetv

In the month you've been editing Wikipedia from this account you have created four articles. There seems to be some sort of problem: all four have no evidence at all that the subject exists. You've provided sources in some places, but these sources are false. Of the three that haven't been deleted as I write, CNBC UK and The Real Thing (Lisa Stansfield song) appear to be completely baseless whilst Sky 4 appears to be out-and-out false.

Now, it may be that you don't understand Wikipedia's purpose (we want true, sourced information) or that you have a source but you're not telling us it, or you're just making stuff up. If it's the latter, then be warned: the next hoax article you create will lead to you being blocked from editing.

However, if this is a misunderstanding of some sort, please let me know before you create your next article. Thanks. ➨ ЯEDVERS is repressed but remarkably dressed 21:48, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hmmm. Your response to this was to log-out and revert me to your unsourced versions on every article. I'm trying to assume good faith that there's simply a misunderstanding here, but you're not making it easy. So a sterner warning:

Please do not add unsourced or original content. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, your edits will be considered vandalism and you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. ➨ ЯEDVERS is repressed but remarkably dressed 08:48, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of CNBC UK

[edit]

I have nominated CNBC UK, an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/CNBC UK. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Blocked

[edit]
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for repeated abuse of editing privileges. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.

You have been warned multiple times about making unsourced claims in articles that appear to be hoaxes. You have failed to respond to these warnings but you have since edited in order to revert the removal of those hoax claims.

You are now blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia in an attempt to get your attention. If you reply here, explaining why you are repeatedly inserting unsourced, false information into articles, then the situation will be reviewed. However, if you do not reply, you will remain blocked.

The ball is in your court. I hope to hear a reply from you very soon. ➨ ЯEDVERS is repressed but remarkably dressed 20:23, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
