Welcome[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Someone using this IP address, 58.145.189.250, made test edits on the page Bet365 which have been reverted or removed. If you did this, please use the sandbox for any other tests you may want to do. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I recommend that you get a username. You do not have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or type {{helpme}} here on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome! "Useless admins"[edit]

Regarding this edit summary, no one at Wikipedia is a paid employee, including administrators. We're all volunteers. No one is responsible for patrolling every edit in every article just because they're your favorite articles. You have as much or more responsibility as anyone, including admins, to fix problems. If an article is unprotected, what is stopping you from fixing the problem other than the fact that you think an admin should do it for you? If a page is protected, what is stopping you from raising the issue on the article's talk page? If one or more articles have a lot of problem edits, what is stopping you from reporting it at WP:ANI? And here's a thought, you could actually be responsible enough to register an account. It takes about one minute and it costs nothing, then you could spend your time fixing problem in most articles instead of whining about admins. Admins are not your servants (or anyone's servants). They have a thankless, difficult job for which they do not get paid, and most of them spend a huge amount of time protecting Wikipedia. After you've registered for a while, if you have the courage, you could seek to be an admin. Then you can show the rest of us what your idea of a perfect admin is. And by the way, I'm not an admin and have no desire to be an admin. I just appreciate the huge favor they do all of us despite the unfounded, severe judgment you flippantly cast on them. If you don't like they way things work here, by all means feel free to spend your time elsehwere. There are many poor quality blogs all over the internet that you could find to your liking. Wikipedia will not suffer from your absence. Sundayclose (talk) 17:01, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
