Information icon Hello, I'm Loriendrew. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Seminole Heights, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ☾Loriendrew☽ (ring-ring) 02:04, 15 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Seminole Heights. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. ☾Loriendrew☽ (ring-ring) 00:43, 1 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The edits were completely constructive. They show the source of the fake Seminole Heights two-headed gator seal. I find it funny, but it's not factual. Wikipedia relies on edits for truth, not for spreading misinformation. And cutting out the source of such information completely is allowing misinformation to propagate.

Notability

[edit]

That bit does not meet notability. Don't restore it. References or not. Jim1138 (talk) 04:11, 1 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I've restored the image. If the information about the hoax isn't "notable" the reference images certainly are. They are of interest to residents certainly. As this page has been quoted recently to justify this fake seal it is certainly notable information.

Your recent editing history at Seminole Heights shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. I am not engaged in an edit war. I have made intermediary changes to my content which keeps being reverted. I have provided source material to satisfy my edits. I have access to the original yearbook that does not reference the Seminole Heights Seal. The claim is that the image is shown in the 1912 Hillsborough High School yearbook but it does not appear there. The image of the seal has been faked and I checked the school's archive to prove that hypothesis.
