Your edits to "Sicilians"

Hi, welcome and thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia. I'd like to point out a few things you might want to be aware of, in order to make things go more smoothly.

Most importantly, you've added a significant amount of material to the Sicilians article in the last two weeks, but you haven't provided any citations of reliable, published sources. Wikipedia's verifiability policy requires inline citations for any material challenged or likely to be challenged. This is one of Wikipedia's core content policies. Unless you can provide these, other editors may remove or revert your changes. Consistently adding unsourced material may lead to complaints about your editing.

Secondly, you should normally provide a edit summary explaining the changes you've made. This will help other editors undertand what you're doing and why, and can also lessen the chances that others will undo your changes.

Another thing that would help is to combine small edits. I see that you've made over two hundred edits in the past week, most of them being very small changes. If you're making a series of related changes or adjustments that could all be described with one edit summary, and you're using "edit source" instead of the "edit" visual editor, you can use the "Show preview" button to see the effect of your changes before saving. I'll leave a standard note about that below. On the other hand, it's possible to combine too many edits at once, and risk that the whole thing could be reverted because of one or two problems. It's best to find a balance and group similar edits together under one explanation.

It also might be a good idea to review some of the linking guidelines, like MOS:OVERLINKING, MOS:DUPLINK, and MOS:SUBMARINE.

One more thing, I noticed in some places like the "Demographics" section that there are very long, run-on sentences with lists of up to seventy different ethnic groups for example. The first problem is that the list is unsourced, and would need a citation. Apart from that, it seems somewhat arbitrary, and could expand indefinitely. Articles should generally be written in an encyclopedic prose style, see WP:TONE. When information isn't compatible with that, it should be re-written, simplified, moved to a more specific article that can be linked to, or possibly put in a list form, see MOS:LIST.

While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. In this edit: [1] you copied large passages of text from several places, most of which seems to come from other Wikipedia articles including Charles I of Anjou and Muslim settlement of Lucera, and pasted it into the article without attribution. In the process, you also removed the citations from the text copied from Wikipedia because you copied the displayed text rather than the wiki source. Because of this I have reverted the article to the previous version. I haven't had time to check further back, but it may be necessary to revert more of the edits. Please follow the correct procedure for copying within Wikipedia, and ensure that all additions are verifiable with citations of reliable sources. Thank-you.
