Speedy deletion nomination of 2par[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing inappropriate pages, such as 2par, is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. August 2012[edit]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to introduce inappropriate pages to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. If you need guidance on how to create appropriate pages, try using the Article Wizard. Acroterion (talk) 18:55, 21 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutely nothing you've noted is an acceptable reference on Wikipedia. Please stop creating inappropriate articles. Acroterion (talk) 19:01, 21 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you create an inappropriate page, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Acroterion (talk) 03:08, 22 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Rambling promotion of what amounts to a series of hoaxes with references to social media posing as sources is not acceptable. Acroterion (talk) 03:09, 22 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Seriously, what would you like help with? If you would cut out the 90% that appears to be promotional crap, there might be an article in there if you could provide solid sources that comply with Wikipedia policy. Right now you're trying to use WP as another social media site, which isn't acceptable. I find a single article in the Santa Barbara Independent, which got picked up on local news: not exactly national. Everything else is self-generated social media. Acroterion (talk) 03:14, 22 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Here's a list of reading material:
  • WP:BLP: All biographies must be factual and sourced.
  • WP:V and WP:RS: All information must be verifiable by reference to third-party sources. Social media sites and user-generated material are not acceptable.
  • WP:SPAM: Promotion is not allowed.
  • WP:BIO: Guidelines for individual notability.
  • WP:HOAX: WIkipedia doesn't accept stuff that's made up, particularly about living people.
If you want to try to write an appropriate article, use your sandbox: User:2swag/sandbox, and I'll be happy to look it over and help with referencing. Acroterion (talk) 03:26, 22 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

AFD tag removal[edit]

As noted by your edit Diff you have removed the AFD tag despite the disclaimer saying not to. Please don't remove these; they will be removed after the AFD finishes. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 03:45, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for helping to build Wikipedia. The current version is that most likely to survive an articles for deletion discussion. Please review WP:BIO and WP:gng. Unfortunately, no evidence of subject meeting the notability requirements above has been found. If you can find information that does show subject meets WP:GNG that comes from reliable 3rd party sources not connected w/ subject , please add it w/ sourcing. So far sourcing has been local only, not significant in dealing with the subject, or not dealing w/ subject at all. You might drop by WP:Teahouse for help with navigating Wikipedia's guidelines and policies. You write very well. If anyone can do this, you can. Please do not re-add the removed material. It does not add to the subject's notability and actually hurts more than it helps. Dlohcierekim 01:16, 24 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 04:42, 24 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

3RR[edit]

You have made 3 Reverts on Chris Par if you make another revert within 24 hours you could be blocked for violating WP:3RR. You could be blocked if you continue to edit war. The version to which you are restoring has put confirmed hoaxes into the article, that version is also not likely to survive AFD. The image for 'Chris Par' is not 'Chris Par' it is another individual, and should not be used on that page, as it is not 'Chris Par'. You should discuss the matter before making that revert again, previously your version of the page has been deleted 3 separate times under the speedy deletion criteria, and even when someone tries to condense and clean it up, you revert it back to the version that was speedy deleted, full of embellishments and hoaxes. Please discuss further changes, if you have information to add from reliable sources, than that information could be put back in to the article. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 14:16, 24 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I notice you've repeatedly restored your version of this article. However, your article contains an oversized photo therefore making the text challenging to comprehend. When adding images to articles, it is important that you added "|thumb|" to prevent the photo from outweighing the text. Additionally, the article lacks sufficient reliable sources to establish notability. Although the article contains reliable sources such as Santa Barbara Independent and Los Angeles Times, the articles are small mentions and never focus with his music career. An example is the Santa Barbara Independent article, the article only mentions him as a "UCSB sophomore" and focuses with his Floatopia activity. Furthermore, your version contains an entirely unreferenced "controversy" section. Controversial claims must always be referenced or it may be removed. Aside from the mentions through the newspapers, the article reads like a promotional article rather than an appropriate encyclopedia article and thus the article has been nominated for deletion. Although the music career may have supported the article, as mentioned, that information is entirely unreferenced. As mentioned above, you will be blocked if you remove the AfD tag again. Please note that removing the deletion template will not end the discussion and will only cause troubles for you, other editors, the article itself and the "articles for deletion" discussion. To learn how to write an appropriate article, I suggest visiting your welcome links and Wikipedia:Writing better articles. If you need additional help, contact me at my talk page. SwisterTwister talk 20:45, 24 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The matter with World Famous Bushman is that the subject received sufficient news coverage. Chris Par, however, has not received sufficient news coverage for his alleged music career. Please note that being a "party legend at ucsb, nationally accredited socialite, host of the biggest beach party in the world 3 years in a row" is not notability. Additionally, all the information you claim about the subject is either not supported or irrelevantly supported. Wikipedia is not a social networking website or a website to promote yourself. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. MBisanz talk 04:19, 26 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
