Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. I am glad to see that you are discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:Father of the Pride are for discussion related to improving the article in specific ways based on reliable sources and the project policies and guidelines, not for general discussion about the topic or unrelated topics, or statements based on your thoughts or feelings. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Thank you. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Cosmetic changes

[edit]

I have noticed you making edits like this one that do not affect the rendered page. Edits that only change a template from upper to lower case have no effect on how the article looks to the reader and should not be made without a more substantive edit to the article. Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Forest Lawn Memorial Park (Hollywood Hills). Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. GA-RT-22 (talk) 03:32, 15 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

How was it an evasion? The deadline said September 12, 2020 and it allowed me to return. -- 24.251.25.227 (talk)

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

It was not an evasion because the deadline was September 12, 2020, which I patiently waited and eventually allowed me back

Decline reason:

As noted, the global lock is still in effect. 331dot (talk) 09:45, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You have got to be kidding me. You are not allowed to edit English Wikipedia until your account is unblocked, and that's not going to happen until it's unlocked by a steward. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 03:09, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I am just saying what the deadline said the other day when I was blocked. I am being honest. -- 24.251.25.227 (talk)

The point of the block was to get you to stop making the changes you had been asked not to make. Going and doing exactly the same thing as soon as the short block expired got you blocked again. (Maybe it shouldn't have been mislabelled as block evasion, but you shouldn't have been surprised when you did the same thing and got an even longer block.)
Why were you even doing it in the first place? I came back here to check if you were still at it and because I was still wondering why you did it, what was it about capital letters that you had a problem with? -- 109.79.184.96 (talk) 23:16, 19 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I sincerely thought I was improving things. I even added more info on André Sogliuzzo. -- 24.251.25.227 (talk)

It is good that you made improvements to articles but that doesn't make up for repeatedly doing something you have been asked not to do.
If you decide to come back to Wikipedia when your block expires I would advise you read up a bit more on at least the WP:SIMPLE rules, and about WP:BRD the process of making BOLD changes, and if you are the REVERTED to then DISCUSS on the article talk page. -- 109.79.184.96 (talk) 02:10, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize for the behavior. -- 24.251.25.227 (talk)

So many rules, it takes time to get used to it and start to learn. Best of luck in the future. -- 109.79.184.96 (talk) 05:05, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
