March 2018[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Fang (band) has been reverted.
Your edit here to Fang (band) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.facebook.com/fangpunks/) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 19:47, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, please ignore this notice.

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Fang. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. The band is already in the DAB page, and there is no reason to completely remove the DAB link Meters (talk) 21:12, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at Fang (band), you may be blocked from editing. If you have sources to support your changes then add them. Otherwise leave teh sourced content alone Meters (talk) 21:15, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Anonymous users from this IP address have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, 24.130.255.209. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article Fang (band), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. - Happysailor (Talk) 18:53, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You should read WP:OWN also. It is not appropriate to say that only "people in the band or associated with the band" should be editing the article. I asked you to provide sources for your changes, and I started a thread on the article's talk page asking for sourcing. You ignored both and continued to make your unsourced changes and to remove sourced content. Meters (talk) 19:58, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
