[edit]- Sorry, not going to happen. These warnings stay here, and if the entire Novi Community School District cannot control the people vandalizing Wikipedia then the entire Novi Community School District can wait until they get home to contribute positively. Blocking doesn't keep them from reading the articles. --Syrthiss 17:31, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
- I think it's kind of stupid to just say that about it (and a bit touch rude), since the only way that those idiots can control a website's abuse is to block it. They block everything on Dweebsense and don't really care about whatever else happens otherwise. Also, it's not just that, it's also that in the after-school program, people use the computers, and since all the games are blocked, they just, probably, vandalise Wiki out of boredom. Whatever, I have to work with Dweebsense everyday and I could rant for an entire 75GB on it, but I don't have the time, nor is this the right site. Hehehe. Websense-ed in Wisconsin
- PS. Since most vandals don't even know there are user pages and whatnot, you can't go to your IP address's page if you're not logged in, you have to check history of an article that you just changed...complicated. I'm sure nobody doing this even knows about these. Is there a way to display a message saying "WTF mates, stop vandalising" when you access the Wiki on that IP? There should be... I agree that people chould stop doing this to my homeland, but they don't even know. Any help?

[edit]- The real problem here is a public school policy that grants its students unmonitored access to the Internet. What would you do if one of your computer users started making terroristic threats? While this type of access may be common, it's irresponsible and it's correctible. Just have your uses log in as themselves so misdeeds can be traced back to them. You may well find a significant decrease in irresponsible computer user by doing so. You'll certainly be able to respond faster if someone actually starts using your systems for illegal purposes. I doubt your students are permitted to attend class anonymously. You should not make an exception with your computer system, either. Rklawton 18:16, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
- I'm trying strongly to resist calling you something and getting myself banned. A public school policy that grants students unmonitored access in not what's going on here. Most of the time teachers don't let anyone use the computer. The only thing they watch for is wanton blood, and also pr@wn. If you're typing something in, they won't care what it is...besides, they can't check it. They are under the illusion that almighty Websense is the guardian, and that they ned not do anything about it...I don't blame them. Teachers are supposed to monitor each and every student's typing at all times? Seriously? Flameviper12 14:30, 1 May 2006 (UTC)

This is not a warning not to vandalise...it in fact is but that's beside the point. This edit was made by a person at your own school. Please stop this. You might think that it doesn't hurt anyone, but it does. Really. Administrators, who I know from experience are levelheaded and kind, must spend hours reverting pointless nonsense, and they are fed up with this vandalism. I really wish for someone here to contribute finely, and I believe that you should be able to do that and not be spoiled by the idiots who continue to destroy this encyclopaedia. Please. create an account and contribute positively. I'm sure you'll find the wiki markup system interesting and fun. You might even be able to create a good article.
- Sincerely, One of your Own

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.
