Information icon Hello, I'm DatGoodDude342. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Matt Bevin, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! DatGoodDude342 (talk) 15:11, 3 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. Request reason:

Needed for educational purposes

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 18:37, 23 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Hello, this is an inquiry into unblocking this IP address for school-related purposes. According to the five pillars by Wikipedia itself, Wikipedia is free content that anyone can use, edit and distribute. An unblock is needed for schoolwork to continue. Thank you

Decline reason:

Users with accounts can still edit from this IP address. Users who wish to edit may create an account at home (or request one via ACC) and edit using their account. If Wikipedia is being used to research information for schoolwork purposes, there is no need for users to be able to edit, since the block does not prevent them from reading Wikipedia. There is thus no valid reason to lift the block. Yunshui  14:34, 24 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. You'll need to provide a verifiable guarantee that the vandalism has permanently ceased from this IP address. What reason do you have to believe you've been able to stop this? --Yamla (talk) 14:00, 24 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for following up. This page is being tracked to ensure no vandalism occurs, and if it somehow does, it will be reverted and the person in question punished for their actions. Of course, it's never foolproof, and we can't exactly provide complete evidence that it's ceased, but we've taken steps to make sure that no other vandalism occurs on this IP address. 206.231.44.209 (talk) 14:09, 24 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

What did I do? I stopped after Serols told me to. --206.231.44.209 (talk) 17:04, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

After you promised to stop, you made this and this, which were pretty far from constructive. --Yamla (talk) 17:05, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Edits to the sandbox don't have to be constructive? As long as it's not interfering with other editor's editing or the general reading of the site. It's an area for testing things such as wikitext. --206.231.44.209 (talk) 17:09, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
"violation of the 1st amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America. If you keep removing my edits, you will be sanctioned and no longer able to edit." was clearly abusive. If you don't see that, I should probably extend the block because not only are you totally wrong about the constitution (see WP:FREE), you lack sufficient competence to edit here. --Yamla (talk) 17:11, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
That...was a joke towards a bot. I don't "lack sufficient competence", and I see that as pretty insulting. I readded my sandbox material because I was still using it. --206.231.44.209 (talk) 17:15, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
If you can explain why the first amendment doesn't apply here and if you commit to only constructive edits from now on, I would be happy to unblock you. --Yamla (talk) 17:16, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The first amendment doesn't limit the Wikimedia Foundation's "power to exercise editorial discretion" as taken from WP:FREE. I will commit to constructive edits henceforth. --206.231.44.209 (talk) 17:18, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I have lifted your block. Welcome back! Thanks for reading WP:FREE. --Yamla (talk) 17:20, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
