Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Harry Spiess, a page you created, has not been edited in 6 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:31, 7 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello 203.17.203.1. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Harry Spiess".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Harry Spiess}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Rankersbo (talk) 06:05, 24 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Temporary unblock request

[edit]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

203.17.203.1 (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

Wikipedian affected by collateral damage, needs to reset password

Accept reason:

To whom it may concern,

I, one of the students of this school, also known as (Redacted) on Wikipedia, would like to formally request a temporary unblock of this IP address in order to reset my account password. Recently, I received a new computer from my school, but did not transfer my Wikipedia password to my password manager prior to receiving the new computer. As a result, I am unable to log in to my Wikipedia account. I attempted to reset my password at home, but was unable to due to an IP range block for abuse affecting my home IP address. I then attempted to appeal the block, in accordance with the formal unblock appeal system on Wikipedia, to no effect (the block revoked the ability to edit the talk page or use the Unblock Ticket Request System). Because both IP ranges are affected by a block, I am unable to use the Special:PasswordReset page to reset my password, due to (genuinely well-founded) concerns of abuse. Thus, I would greatly appreciate if the block on this IP address was temporarily lifted, so that I can reset the password to my account and continue to contribute to Wikipedia.

I fully recognise that other students at this school have vandalised certain pages on Wikipedia and made unconstructive edits, and I apologise for the poor conduct of my fellow students. However, I am not one of them, and I genuinely wish to continue to contribute to Wikipedia to help make it a better place where everyone can access reliable, accurate information on the Internet for free. If the temporary unblock is granted, please notify me as soon as possible, so that I can reset my password and save it to my password manager so that I don't make the same mistake again.

Yours sincerely,

(Redacted)

@NinjaRobotPirate: Thank you for the quick response. However, while a link to PasswordReset on the login page is now visible, it still redirects me to the "Blocked" page, and I still cannot actually reset my password. Is it possible to fix this?
Sorry for the inconvenience,
203.17.203.1 (talk) 02:43, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Don't you have a smartphone you can use? Cellular networks will put you on a different IP range. But, yes, I guess I could unblock this IP if you can't edit anywhere else. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 02:56, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@NinjaRobotPirate: No, unfortunately I do not have a working smartphone. Again, thanks for the quick reply, and sorry for the inconvenience. Also, as mentioned in my main comment, I don't need the unblock to be permanent — I just need enough time to reset the password to my account and add it to my password manager so that I can log in to my Wikipedia account. 10 to 15 minutes should suffice.
Thanks,
203.17.203.1 (talk) 03:05, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
OK, done, but the IP will probably just be blocked again if there's any disruption. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 03:20, 7 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@NinjaRobotPirate: Yup, all good now. Thank you!
