August 2024: edits about Nicaraguan topics

[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Mathglot. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edits to Nicaragua, Contras, and Politics of Nicaragua seemed less than neutral and have been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mathglot (talk) 07:18, 20 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I feel that I removed biased information. I’ll start with the “Democracy index” from the politics page. This index as well as many others are basically little more than slander. They set the default to the USA, and anyone who doesn’t conform to their ideas is labeled “authoritarian” 201.192.183.72 (talk) 18:16, 20 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Isn’t it “Less than neutral” to call a Country a “dictatorship” because you disagree with its politics? Reminder that the FLSN WON those elections fairly 201.192.183.72 (talk) 18:17, 20 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I notice that you edited Nicaragua again, this time inserting the word allegedly everywhere. Another editor removed your edit a few minutes later. IP 201, beyond just the MOS:ALLEGED issue, this is sourced information, and Freedom house is completely open about their extensive analysis and review methodology. There is no reason for you to substitute your own opinion in the article for that of reliable sources. Thanks for raising your views on the Talk page of the article; I've responded there. If you believe this source is unreliable, you may also raise a discussion at reliable sources noticeboard. But I feel I must warn you that if you continue with this pattern of substituting your own opinion for that of reliable sources without achieving any consensus from other editors, you risk having your editing privileges suspended. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask at the WP:Tea house. Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 19:45, 20 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
