[edit]Hello, I'm Firefangledfeathers. I noticed that you made a comment on the page Talk:Turkey that didn't seem very civil, so it may have been removed. Wikipedia is built on collaboration, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. "Using someone's affiliations as an ad hominem means of dismissing or discrediting their views" is a personal attack. - What do you mean? Did I mention anyone in my comment? Why was it a "personal attack"? This is ridiculous! I made my observations based on facts and my comment was polite and it did make sense. Asking people to refrain from participating in an event in order to avoid conflict of interest is a normal practice. For example, if you are a judge, when there is a case involving your wife, you should let your colleague to handle the case. If you are a police officer patrolling with another officer, and your son have been caught speeding, you should stay in your police car and let your colleague to deal with the situation. When Hong Kong plays Malaysia in an international football match, the referee should not be a referee from mainland China. You can find plenty of examples like this. You need to explain why you've deleted my comment and based on what, otherwise I will report you. 2001:8003:9008:1301:1DEC:6878:4502:E89B (talk) 03:32, 20 June 2022 (UTC)
- Since you restored your comment and reverted my removal, your message is now on the page twice. Was that your intention? Wikipedia is not a court or football match, and I've already pointed you to the Wikipedia policy that applies here. If your intention is to be polite, please know that politeness on Wikipedia includes avoiding assertions that other editors are incapable of neutrality due to their nationality.
