[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary (or the default undo summary), and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! Hotwiki (talk) 03:44, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Overtagging

[edit]

Hello. Why are you doing this on so many articles? Most of the articles you are tagging do not seem to have these issues. Please stop. Jdcooper (talk) 01:04, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please see WP:DRIVEBY and WP:OVERTAG. In order to avoid the appearance of being disruptive, it would help if you explain the rationale for tags in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Cheers. DN (talk) 03:02, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding pointless tags

[edit]

Hi, you are still overtagging many, many articles. The "cleanup rewrite" tag is for much worse quality articles than the ones you are tagging, and the "copyedit" one should be reserved for important articles with very bad text. I don't know what is the purpose of this, but you are not helping improve the encylopedia. Please read the pages linked by @Darknipples: above. Jdcooper (talk) 22:58, 28 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If they refuse to respond and they simply keep up this behavior, I think it may be a sign that they are WP:NOTHERE, in which case it may need to go to admin, which I would support. DN (talk) 01:44, 29 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
