This is a fascinating article with great information. But I also feel that some of it is not quite correct. For the EU it is shown as: English is not an official language; British spelling is dominant I would say that is likely true, although the words used to desribe British English as an official or majority language: British analyse/defence/labour/organise/programme dominant; English is an official or majority language Probably contains some of the more frequent exceptions: defence/defense, programme/program, but also colour/color. This abviously doesn't make the statement pertintly wrong, it does mke it misleading. What makes the statement even more misleading is the fact that in many of these countries they use the American words (Potentially even with a British(ized) spelling). This will be more true in countries that use movies with sub titles (In general the smaller European countries) Words like attorney, garbage, truck, trunk, profit will be more likely used than their british counter parts.
