You are welcome to continue editing without logging in, but many editors recommend that you create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits such as the ability to create articles. For a full outline and explanation of the benefits that come with creating an account, please see this page. If you edit without a username, your IP address (2.102.112.87) is used to identify you instead.
In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}}

[edit]Hello 2.102.112.87. You tagged "ODOYO" for speedy deletion, but you did not notify the article's creator that it had been so tagged. There is strong consensus that the creators of articles tagged for speedy deletion should be warned and that the person placing the tag has that responsibility. All of the major speedy deletion templates contain a pre-formatted warning for this purpose—just copy and paste to the creator's talk page. Thank you. Passengerpigeon (talk) 03:43, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
- You're right, I forgot. Sorry! 2.102.112.87 (talk) 03:45, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, 2.102.112.87. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Tree Day, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:
- avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
- instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
- when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Fouetté rond de jambe en tournant (talk) 06:31, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
- You seem to be mistaking me with the article's creator, HydRising, which is evidently an account operated by member(s) of Hyderabad Rising, creators of Tree Day. If you check the edit history, all of my edits to that article have been toward a more WP:NPOV, sanding down the worst of the marketing in the article. Thanks, 2.102.112.87 (talk) 06:35, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
- No mistake here, you both seem to maybe have a conflict of interest although from differing sides of the issue. Please read the information and do not edit the article if you yourself have a COI. Fouetté rond de jambe en tournant (talk) 06:38, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
- Which of my edits demonstrates a COI please? 2.102.112.87 (talk) 06:39, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
- See talk page of article for COI discussion. Fouetté rond de jambe en tournant (talk) 06:48, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
- You've merely posted a request there for editors to declare their COI. I have none. Which of my edits demonstrates a COI please? 2.102.112.87 (talk) 06:49, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, that's what I thought. 2.102.112.87 (talk) 01:38, 17 May 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Tree Day. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. see diff https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Tree_Day&diff=prev&oldid=720491066 [1] Fouetté rond de jambe en tournant (talk) 07:10, 16 May 2016 (UTC)

- What in that edit constituted an addition of commentary or personal analysis please? All I did was to remove commentary and personal analysis. All of this drive-by user talk tagging is beginning to look pretty WP:POINTy. 2.102.112.87 (talk) 01:38, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Strychnine with this edit, you may be blocked from editing. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 03:38, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
- What?? What did I vandalise?? 2.102.112.87 (talk) 03:39, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
- I reverted as an editing test, but you've been warned before and it comes out as if you're vandalizing automatically. Striking out warning because I'm going with my gut. :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 03:40, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
- Sigh.... all of these false taggings are getting tiresome. It wasn't vandalism. Please see proximate cause. Thank you. 2.102.112.87 (talk) 03:41, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
- AHA! See, this is why I assumed good faith! Thanks for pointing out the erroneous rollback with your edit summary. My mistake! I apologize for the frustration. :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 03:42, 17 May 2016 (UTC)

This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
