Welcome!

Hello, 1liberator, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

Regarding your e-mail:

why do you delete my postings? I documented everything very well, in fact, most of my stuff is quotations directly from the BBC. Please do not disparage my point of view, try to disprove it, if you can. Otherwise, please understand that, sometimes, truth hurts.

I'll respond through here as I prefer this channel for Wiki-related discussions.

I have removed your text because it doesn't fit the entire article and not because I don't agree with it. Let me explain. First, your text starts with "The KLA is a terrorist group...". Now this looks like an introduction to the article, saying what the KLA is. Now tell me: how would an article look with 2 introductions, with one of them near the end? Second, the text is poorly formatted - looks like some info put together in haste with an excessive amount of links. Note: Wikipedia is not a collection of external links. Sure, they can be included, but see how other links are grouped under "References" section and referenced from withing the text (by itself free of external links). Also, regarding direct quotations of articles: try to avoid it and write some original prose. Finally: articles are not places where you state your own point of view.

I hope that clarifies a bit, but feel free to ask people around if you still have any questions. Welcome to Wikipedia! Misza13 (Talk) 15:50, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mediation

[edit]

You misunderstood a question in the mediation case template. The question "Would you be willing to mediate yourself... ?" refers to another mediation case. Somebody might assign a mediation case to you if you answer "yes", but never the case you submitted. --Fasten 11:03, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

1liberator... I've taken this mediation case, and opened a section for mediation on the KLA talk page. see you there.  :-) Ted 14:57, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mediation Case: Chevrolet Corvette

[edit]

You have indicated that you are willing to accept an assignment as a mediator. I have assigned this case to you. If you don't want to take the case on, just say so at the bottom of the request, delegate it to someone else and update the case list accordingly. Before your begin the mediation please read the suggestions for mediators. You can also review earlier mediation cases to get an understanding for possible procedures. --Fasten 11:57, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

FYI, I'm afraid User:63.26.99.106 has dropped out off the Wikipedia game, so the case may be moot. Lambiam 05:14, 5 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is also a Florida not-for-profit corporation, so venue is proper in Florida courts. I never had a blog; I won many Judgments, however.

This comment, from Talk:Kosovo Liberation Army alludes to legal action and could be construed as a legal threat. Legal threats are prohibited on Wikipedia, and individuals who engage in such behavior are blocked until such time as they withdraw the threats and agree to avoid threats in the future, or until litigation in the matter concludes. In the spirit of assuming good faith, I am not going to issue a block in this instance, but I must insist that you do not make comments that could be construed as threatening legal action in the future. If you have any questions, please feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Essjay TalkContact 01:47, 7 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"In addition, it is important to note that Haliburton stock rose from $9 in January 2002 to $67 in March, 2006. What is more, the average price of gas in the U.S. increased from $1.25/gallon in 2002 to $2.85/gallon in 2006. At the same time, the price of 1 Killowat of electric energy, due to the increase in cost of the oil used to produce it, increased from $0.04 in 2002 to $0.10 in 2006."

I deleted this because it is unsupported by citation. Who says it's important to note that? Who says it's even relevent? Unless someone notable is making the charge (presumably that Bush did it to boost Haliburton's stock price), and unless we say who is making the charge, it is just innuendo. Tom Harrison Talk 20:58, 12 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Tom:

I think I added a citation, but maybe we missed it. Let me post it again. I think it is important to note the facts, i.e. Americans are paying exorbitant prices for energy while Haliburton is making money out of the deal.

Thanks, 1liberator 21:09, 12 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not disputing that the stock price went up. What we need a cite for is who says 9/11 was engineered to cause that. Is this what Ruppert says? If so, we need to make clear that this is part of his theory. I'm going to copy my remarks to Talk:Responsibility for the September 11, 2001 attacks so others can follow the discussion. Tom Harrison Talk 21:25, 12 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Tom:

thanks for the approach. I am usually summarily deleted when people disagree. I am glad that you did not forget what America's based on - constructive dialogue. If you want, please rephrase the quote to make clear that's part of Ruppert's theory. Or, if you want, we can draft a joint statement that reflects that Ruppert makes this claim in the book, or whatever you propose. Once again, thank you, 1liberator 21:28, 12 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
