Information icon Hello, I'm Aspening. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, Shasta, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please use reliable sources and use inline citations. Aspening (talk) 21:31, 8 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Aspening (talk) 22:11, 8 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Well I can tell you that it's not me. I saw the section where my IP appears in, and I am not against U.S. editors. I refer to U.S. friends because I have actually come accross this on the internet where Americans have a different definition than Kenyans and Armenians of something, and that has lead to confusion for me. As I said before, my first language is Armenian, hence why I don't read the TL DR policies. Suggestion: at the top, have a simple short version, then have the Along version afterwords. 199.101.61.24 (talk) 02:41, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Your blocked again for one month, for the same behavior that led to the previous blocks. I appreciate your new character, but you're not seriously going to convince anyone that two IP addresses that exhibit the same behavior and geolocate to the same exact address are not the same person. What is 'current iteration"? 199.101.61.24 (talk) 02:52, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Unless someone who lives in the same flat block as me is using Wikipedia, I think you're just making things up now. Again, maybe it's the old issue I have had on the internet of terms meaning different thigns in the U.S> to where i learned English. I don't know. 199.101.61.24 (talk) 02:53, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately Swarm, if you don't believe me then that's on you. I know who I am and I know that I am not the user form the an/i thread. please reverse this block immediately. thanks. 199.101.61.24 (talk) 03:11, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

apparently I'm blocked now?

[edit]

Apparently I am being blocked until July 9th because someone thinks I am someone else. What is "current iteration?" 199.101.61.24 (talk) 02:50, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You know Wikipedia really needs to do something for cases like this, where people living in a block of flats/apartments so that if they edit Wikipedia, and they live in the same building as a blocked IP address, that they don't get blocked. My building has 4 wireless routers, so there are probibly 4 different IP addresses in my building. Wireless is not that great in my area so we need multiple routers to allow better internet signal i guess? So please Wikipedia, do something so that SPI checks don't cause innocent users like myself to get blocked like this, because this is not fair! 199.101.61.24 (talk) 03:20, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia has done something for cases like this: account registration. Account creation comes with a number of benefits, including avoiding situations like the one you find yourself in. See WP:ACCOUNT for a number of other benefits. 青い(Aoi) (talk) 04:07, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The problem with accounts is they require a password, and I always forget them, and I'm not leaving sticky notes around my flat, fire hazard, my land lord is strict about that. 199.101.61.24 (talk) 11:16, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

you got the wrong guy

Request reason:

This i snot me, the guy you are trying to block. Here's a bit about me. Previously I lived in Kenya for 3 years and before that I lived in Armenia, and my first language is Armenian. I know nothing about this guy who is supposedly against U.S. editors as was talked about on the noticeboard, as I myself am not against the U.S. at all. I think you guys have the wrong guy here, I’m not sure if somebody else within my flat block is editing Wikipedia and is therefore tracing to the same place, but I do know for sure it is not me. If you like, when we have a meeting in the common room next week I can raise this issue with fellow tenants of the apartment. Thanks. 199.101.61.24 (talk) 03:06, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

The block is working properly. If you know nothing about it, you should register a username in a different location, or after the block expires, to avoid this problem in the future. If you want to discuss this with others using this IP range, that is your business, but I doubt you will get someone to admit they were improperly behaving here. 331dot (talk) 07:55, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Swarm needs his/her facts straight. I'm not that user. 199.101.61.24 (talk) 15:28, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

We don't know, and have no way of knowing, if you are or not. 331dot (talk) 16:46, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I just don't understand why he/she thinks I am this anti U.S. person when I have not said anything against the United States. The closest you could get me on is that I am not sure whether "reliable" sources are something different in the u.S. or not. So I'd appreciate you to let him/her know that just because I mention th eU.S> does not mean I am that user. That an/i thread is a bit unfair to be honest. 199.101.61.24 (talk) 19:27, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Some of your edits suggest bias against Americans. See here. That's a trait people have noticed is similar to a previous editor geolocating to the same place. Aspening (talk) 19:46, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

While it's ture that I titled a section U.S. friend, and that I put that Kim Esty is from England (using Discogs as a source), there's nnot an anti North American or U.S. stuff I have done. Please look at discogs to see my source for the Kim Esty edits. I also did a thing on the 2 times snog article where I changed the wording to better reflect a safer wording, so that it doesn't look like Wikipedia is siding with the people who think that Ann Lee sang Whigfield's songs, because they are out there. Eurodance is a major interest of mine, hence the Kim Esty edit. 199.101.61.24 (talk) 00:39, 10 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
