Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Felipe Jesus Consalvos has been reverted.
Your edit here to Felipe Jesus Consalvos was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.dazeddigital.com/blog/article/16844/1/tabaquero-collage) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, fansite, or similar site (see 'Links to avoid', #11), then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Anonymous users from this IP address have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 year for adding spam links. Persistent spammers will have their websites blacklisted from Wikipedia and potentially penalized by search engines. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 16:53, 5 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
If this is a shared IP address and you are an uninvolved editor with a registered account, you may continue to edit by logging in.

Seriously, Ronhjones, you are blocking an IP at the Art Institute of Chicago, for adding links to scholarly descriptions in a catalogue of works in their own collection? Quite bizarre. Theramin (talk) 22:43, 5 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Ronhjones In partnership with the J. Paul Getty Museum and eight other institutions, the Art Institute of Chicago began the process of publishing digital catalogues as part of the Online Scholarly Catalogue Initiative (OSCI) in 2009. Since then, the Art Institute of Chicago has digitally published ten catalogues, each freely accessible from our website, and pertaining either to exhibitions supported by the museum or to works in the museum’s collections.

Beginning on May 1, 2017 the Department of Publications contributed to fifty-four wikipedia entries of artists and artworks featured in our catalogues to embed links to relevant catalogues and/or specific catalogue entries in hopes of broadening access to new scholarship.

It is understandable that the rate and quantity of edits might at first register as spam, but the content and intent of the material and contributions are solely interested in making available new and up-to-date scholarly research in the fields of art history and conservation. If the content of the linked catalogues is thought to be too tangential, then, once unblocked, we will only contribute to wikipedia entries in direct relation to the entire digital catalogue. 198.40.29.65 (talk) 19:06, 12 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You embedded links into Wikipedia articles in hopes of broadening access to new scholarship, to drive traffic to your website, to spam Wikipedia. You will not be unblocked to continue with that. Huon (talk) 19:17, 12 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Well, this is all a bit disappointing: we are rejecting links to high-quality scholarly sources as "spam", and blocking further contributions from what our own article calls "one of the oldest and largest art museums in the United States". Let us hope that interested editors spot the addition and removal of links to the new materials and weave them into the relevant articles. For what it is worth, I'm grateful for the addition at Paris Street; Rainy Day, and I am sorry this IP has been treated so badly. Theramin (talk) 01:58, 15 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
