You are welcome to continue editing articles without logging in, but many editors recommend that you create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits such as the ability to create articles. For a full outline and explanation of the benefits that come with creating an account, please see this page. If you edit without a username, your IP address (188.141.12.67) is used to identify you instead.

In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} before the question on this page. Again, welcome! — SpikeToronto 21:49, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. — SpikeToronto 21:49, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Marja' (Islamic law) has been reverted, as it appears to have removed content from the page without explanation. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Sorry, wrong warning. DARTH SIDIOUS 2 (Contact) 19:47, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove content from pages without explanation, as you did with this edit to Taco Mayo. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. ” TęĻęŞ (PT @ L C G) 22:38, 11 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I did not mean to start an edit war with you or suggest in any way that every person with bipolar disorder hears voices. However, Ms. Autumn did. This fairly recent interview of hers does state that she heard voices in her head as a result of it. ("Dealing with being raped was difficult because I was worried that telling someone would hurt the people around me. I was also hearing voices in my head every day and all night, thanks to the disorder, and it was terrifying.") Based on her quote—which clearly states that she heard voices because of her bipolar disorder, I'm choosing to revert your edit. If you don't agree, you're more than welcome to discuss it on the talkpage. Kaguya-chan (talk) 02:02, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Civilty

[edit]

Edit summaries such as these[1][2] do not conform with wikipedias policies regarding Personal Attacks and civilty. This kind of behaviour is frowned upon by the wikipedia community and if forming a continuing pattern may lead to sanctions.·Maunus·ƛ· 14:38, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If people wish for civility, they shouldn't vandalise my page with fake vandalism warnings. 188.141.12.67 (talk) 14:54, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There are two other policies you should also acquaint yourself with: WP:VANDAL which defines what is and isn't vandalism, and our core policy about assuming good faith from other editors untill otherwise proven.·Maunus·ƛ· 16:01, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If the people who placed those warnings on my page in the first place followed those guidelines, there wouldn't have been a problem in the first place. 188.141.12.67 (talk) 16:07, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
