[edit]

Stop edit warring at Brazil articles like Alliance for Brazil and Opinion polling for the 2022 Brazilian general election. If you make a change, it must adhere to Wikipedia’s policy on WP:Verifiability; you need to provide a citation to a reliable source. When you are reverted for cause, follow WP:BRD: take your issue to the article Talk page and discuss it there. Do not edit war to force your preferred version into the article. See also User_talk:187.74.168.156. Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 23:37, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

And at APB. Mathglot (talk) 23:39, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Mathglot: Download the statute. Then reply to me. 187.26.223.72 (talk) 23:43, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Use the Talk page to describe your desired change, and why you think it is correct. Wikipedia operates by consensus; it doesn’t matter that I disagree with your changes—if you manage to persuade other editors that your edit is correct, then it stays. But you have to raise the issue and discuss it; you can’t simply force your version by edit warring it into the article. This is not the right place for the discussion about content—that belongs on the article Talk page. If you’re not sure how to start a discussion on the article talk page, ping me here again and I will explain it. Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 23:50, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Well done

[edit]

I just wanted to add a further note, that after a rocky start with some re-reverts, you've come to the Talk page and created Talk:Alliance for Brazil#Acronym to discuss this, which is the right way to proceed. You've also participated in the back-and-forth there, and the discussion is ongoing. I realize that English may be a bit of a problem for you, but you're doing fine; if language becomes a problem and you don't know how to express something, you can talk to me on my Talk page in Portuguese. On the article Talk page, you should use English, but if you're not sure how to say something, just do the best you can in English, and you can always include a parenthetical comment in Portuguese embedded in an English sentence (the way I did at the Talk page) and if the English is wrong, I'll help you explain what you meant to other English-speaking editors.

One other thing: I hope you consider registering for an account at Wikipedia. It's free, you won't get any spam e-mail, and there are numerous advantages. Once you have an account, you can use a single login to edit not only English Wikipedia, but also Portuguese Wikipedia, or any of the 300 other language Wikipedias. Please visit WP:REGISTER to see how to do this. If you prefer to read the instructions about registering in Portuguese, you can go here: pt:Wikipédia:Usuários registrados, and if you want to start the process right now, click here.
