Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. Request reason:
Hello Ohnoitsjamie, thank you for the notification. I checked the Wiki pages and I would like to argue with your decision. I can see that Wiki pages are plenty of external links. I would appreciate if you could let me know what I did not do correctly (syntax, text, etc), so I could avoid the same mistake in the future. I don't mind the blocking duration, but compared to other external links it looks a bit unfair. 176.92.65.93 (talk) 17:37, 13 May 2020 (UTC)

This isn't an unblock request. WP:GAB will explain to you how to craft an unblock request. Yamla (talk) 17:44, 13 May 2020 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- Per WP:ELNO and WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS, you're going to need to find another venue besides Wikipedia to promote your business. If I see any other IPs add the link, it will be sent to our spam blacklist. OhNoitsJamie Talk 17:40, 13 May 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for your reply Ohnoitsjamie! It's not my business and I don't care about advertising it. Also, don't be so sure about spamming the link. You never know if they are not our competitors (in this case you will harm someone else). In any case, they already have external links in your platform from the past users as well as the million other companies. I just wanted to do a "test" for my personal SEO learning purposes. I might be interested to add some other pages in the future, so I wanted to learn more on how the platform works. Again, I DO NOT UNDERSTAND why you allowed adding other external links in the past, but DO NOT ALLOW the new ones? Did you change your policy or is there some other reason? TIA 176.92.65.93 (talk) 18:23, 13 May 2020 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Wikipedia is not interested in being used for your SEO in the future. We don't care whether you are spamming links to your own business with an intent to aid them, someone else's with an intent to harm them, or just some random business with an intent to hone your SEO skills; none of that is appropriate. - Apparently you did not read Yamla's comment regarding what constitutes an unblock request. Recommending removing talk page access. OhNoitsJamie Talk 18:27, 13 May 2020 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
