Welcome!
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions so far. I hope you like the place and decide to stay.
Here are some links to pages you may find useful:
- Contributing to Wikipedia
- Tutorial
- How to edit a page and How to develop articles
- Simplified Manual of Style
You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but if you wish to acquire additional privileges, you can simply create a named account. It's free, requires no personal information, and lets you:
- Create new pages and rename pages
- Edit semi-protected pages
- Upload images
- Have your own watchlist, which shows when articles you are interested in have changed
Note that in order for the first three features to be available, you must have had an account for a certain number of days and made a certain number of edits.
If you edit without using a named account, your IP address (124.19.16.206) is used to identify you instead.
I hope that you, as a Wikipedian, decide to continue contributing to our project: an encyclopedia of human knowledge that anyone can edit. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, or you can to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. We also have an intuitive guide on editing if you're interested. By the way, please make sure to sign and date your talk page comments with four tildes (~~~~).
Happy editing! I dream of horses If you reply here, please ping me by adding {{U|I dream of horses}} to your message (talk to me) (My edits) @ 00:02, 21 January 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm JarrahTree. I noticed that you recently removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. - If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Hello, I'm Goveganplease. An edit that you recently made to Fenty Beauty seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want more practice editing, please use the sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please do not remove punctuation that inevitably ends up mis-formatting the article. Thanks Goveganplease (talk) 00:25, 22 March 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Please refrain from making test edits in Wikipedia pages, such as those you made to Physical cosmology, even if you intend to fix them later. Your edits have been reverted. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Please do not alter text without giving adequate reasons for change. David J Johnson (talk) 09:28, 18 April 2019 (UTC)

Please stop adding new sections that are empty, except for a tag saying that the section needs expansion. This is pointless (not to mention rude). If you feel that this new section is necessary, then you should be contributing text to it yourself, rather than waiting for other people to come along and do your own work for you. [edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at Jacksonville, Florida, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. - Donald Albury 17:27, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Grilled cheese. You must stop adding empty "History" sections, with only an "expand section" template, or otherwise superfluous "History" section headers, as you did in "Grilled cheese" and in many hundreds of other articles. You have been warned repeatedly on this page, and on numerous other talk pages, such as these: [1], [2]. Please stop immediately! IamNotU (talk) 01:24, 12 May 2019 (UTC)

There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is Countless empty "History" sections, plus copyright violations, etc.. IamNotU (talk) 22:51, 13 May 2019 (UTC)

If you are not the intended target of this block, please read the information below in order to receive assistance.
IP users (without an account): If you do not have an account and wish to bypass this block, an account can be created to allow you to edit. In general, these blocks only prevent users who are not logged in from editing; once you are logged in, the block will no longer affect you in any way. To request an account, simply click here and follow the directions provided on the page. It is important that you use an e-mail address issued to you by your ISP, school, or organisation, so we may verify that you are a legitimate user. When filling out the account request form, please refer to this block in the "comments" input field. If you've been instructed to request an account via email, please refer to this block in your message.
Registered users (with an account): Please make sure you are logged in to your account. If you are unable to edit while logged in, you may request IP block exemption to bypass blocks unconnected with you that affect your editing. Post an unblock request to your user talk page.Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

[edit]Hello, I'm Sea Cow. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Botswana, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Sea Cow (talk) 02:52, 16 January 2022 (UTC)
Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Eumundi, Queensland. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Sea Cow (talk) 03:00, 16 January 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Doctorhawkes. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Chinderah, New South Wales have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Thanks. Doctorhawkes (talk) 07:07, 14 June 2022 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
