Notice

The article Conquest of Bihar (1202) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The article is making assumptions that a raid on Nalanda and Vikramashila means that the whole of Bihar was conquered by the Khaljis/Ghurids. We know this isn't true because the A Historical Atlas of South Asia has set out the map of the Khalji dynasty of Bengal and it only shows small parts of Bihar being under the Khaljis. Furthermore, we know that north Bihar was under the Karnats of Mithila during this period as well. The Pala Empire also ended in 1161 so it seems there is some sort of issue with the information we have available to us on the topic. Due to the original research, I believe the article should be deleted.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
