Also on the fire season declarations, these are managed by the States. Each state has a different fire season period based on alot of things but primarily on climate. Even within One state ( QLD) the fire season is not constant. EG in North QD our fire season starts in july ish and finishes when Wet season arrives ( December/ January) whereas the fire season more closely follows October ish - Marchish in the South East. The best way to look at it is with a disaster or and emergency, you should use the term end of emergency or End of response efforts as recovery can take years.
