October 2010

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your recent edits to Rick Sanchez have been reverted as they could be seen to be defamatory or potentially libellous. Take a look at our welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. The Resident Anthropologist (talk) 19:54, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

To clarify what this was about: I reverted a section deletion by The Resident Anthropologist, thus restoring a previously existing section. He then deleted it again, claiming that it was poorly referenced. I have since cleaned up the section, removed the one sentence I could not find a source for, & added references to the original source & the Washington Post. Presumably these are verifiable & reliable enough to pass muster according to WP:BLP. As I was writing this, The Resident Anthropologist has just deleted the section again. 0x539 (talk) 20:09, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Washington post is RS without a doubt. You were using an online editorial hosted on Washington post by some on non-notable person. The Resident Anthropologist (talk) 22:10, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
If you have a preferred site with a transcript of the comments, by all means use it. I also referenced the comments on the original source. I suggest we move this discussion to the talk page for the article, where it belongs. 0x539 (talk) 22:30, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

POV tag

[edit]

I noticed that you restored the POV tag to the DDT article. There was recently a lengthy discussion about the tag on the talk page, and some changes were made to the article. If you feel the article still has a POV problem I'd invite you to participate on the article talk page rather than simply tagging the article. ~Adjwilley (talk) 01:47, 1 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
