Mandatory paid editing disclosure

[edit]
Information icon

Hello சென்னை. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, and that you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to Black hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:சென்னை. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=சென்னை|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, please do not edit further until you answer this message. Jytdog (talk) 05:18, 23 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I am not being paid directly or indirectly for these edits. Just like I haven't been paid for edits on Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Estudio Churubusco and other edits made. These are areas of interest to me that Wikipedia is lacking in providing information to its international readers. Look forward to your suggestions for improving the story. சென்னை (talk) 14:29, 23 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Your edits are exactly like those of a paid editor, including the topics and the kinds of edits you are making. Please reconsider your response. I don't know if you are aware of this, but there is a place for paid editing in Wikipedia, but you must disclose it and follow the WP:PAID policy and WP:COI guideline.... the worst thing to do is evade the process. I stand by my prior statement. While I previously had a business relationship with Netmeds, I have no current or planned role with them. Like other Indian firms on Wiki like 1mg pharmacy ,more Indian and worldwide top firms deserve to be mentioned, in what is now an American-centered list of businesses. சென்னை (talk) 16:37, 23 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Separately, Why is not Rainbow Kitten Surprise on Wikipedia yet? And, no, I don't have any connection with them except liking their music :-). சென்னை (talk) 16:55, 23 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Please thread your posts. How to do so is described in the talk page guidelines and is fundamental etiquette here.
Would you please describe the business relationship you had with Netmeds? Thanks. Jytdog (talk) 17:00, 23 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know how to thread my posts. My past relationship with them is not relevant to the present. I did a few hours of consulting work. Period. And, no, I don't have any connection whatsoever to Mike Bryan, Estudio Churubusco, Rainbow Kitten Surprise and nearly all of the topics I edit or write about on Wikipedia.

Your draft article, Draft:Netmeds

[edit]

Hello, சென்னை. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Netmeds".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Legacypac (talk) 08:50, 23 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
