Your edit to Iranian calendar

[edit]

Sorry, but I had to remove your edit to Iranian calendars in order to remove edits by a sockpuppet of User:Vote (X) for Change. I didn't know how to restore your Persian changes. Jc3s5h (talk) 14:50, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I just do not understand your words because I'm not fluent in English. The local name of Iranian calendars is (Persian: گاهشماری هجری خورشیدی‌ Gahshomari-ye Hejri-ye Khorshidi means Solar Hejri calendar). (Please see fa:گاهشماری هجری خورشیدی). Thank you very much. help

[edit]

I have put in a request for this to be checked to WP:OPP. Daniel Case (talk) 13:29, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Does Iran allow access to Wikipedia? If not, this might be a legitimate attempt to access it by circumventing filters. Magog the Ogre (talk) 14:47, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think they block us at the national level à la China but it wouldn't surprise me if there are local blocks. But let's see what OPP says first. Daniel Case (talk) 08:26, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm living in Iran and Iran allow access to Wikipedia. I do not know why this problem has occurred. Negunbanguni (talk) 12:53, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Just google the IP address; you'll see it appears on dozens of proxy lists. --jpgordon::==( o ) 15:44, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I connect to the internet through normal means. in other Wikipedias I can edit. just in the English Wikipedia I can't edit and still this problem resolved yet. Negunbanguni (talk) 15:17, 25 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
By any chance do you know if you share the IP with anyone else? Do you know how your IP works? Magog the Ogre (talk) 15:52, 25 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No, I don't share the IP with anyone else and not know how my IP works! Negunbanguni (talk) 16:35, 25 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm inclined to assume good faith that either a) you have a shared IP, and someone has an open computer, or b) you are running a zombie computer (I heavily suggest running a virus scan). I'd even be willing to ignore the rules and grant you an IP block exemption, as you are a long-term editor don't appear to be pushing an odd point of view, sockpuppeting, or engaging in any other of the malicious behavior for which we ban open proxy editing. However, beforehand, can you do me a favor and run a virus scan on your computer, while I get the opinions of other admins here? Magog the Ogre (talk) 02:09, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
My computer is infected with the virus. And I got to scan my computer. But the problem is not resolved. Please speak with the iranian administrator. Thank you very much. Negunbanguni (talk) 13:29, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
We're in the process of sorting it out. In the meantime, I apologize but I'll have to ask for your patience. Magog the Ogre (talk) 23:33, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have asked Mardetanha to come help you with this situation. من سئوال کرده اند Mardetanha برای آمدن به شما کمک کند با این وضعیت. (Google translation) Hersfold (t/a/c) 18:06, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
This user is one of longt term users , per my request peter has already given him ipblock exempt, so i assume he should be able to edit , due to situation of internet in iran many people use proxies to access free internet so there is no wonder if some of them get trapped into auto-block Mardetanha talk 18:52, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Right, but he says he's not using a proxy - he also admits he has a virus, so I suspect he's running a zombie computer. This is a huge security problem. That's the only reason I didn't give him IP block exempt. Magog the Ogre (talk) 20:02, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I will ask him to change is current Operating system , but there is an interesting point this ip is coming from Iran so it's not an open proxy though as you mentioned it's possibile he's running a zombie computer . But he is a trusted user Mardetanha talk 20:15, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The problem was solved. Thank those who helped. I wish you success. Negunbanguni (talk) 07:24, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your uniltareal page moves

[edit]

Please don't move controversial topics to new titles, without a formal request per WP:REQMOVE. That's how it's done here in English Wikipedia. "Iranian revolution" is the more common terminology in English. Regardless, even if you disagree, you'd need to file a formal request for move and seek consensus for a new title. Kurdo777 (talk) 22:37, 7 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you correctly note. Negunbanguni (talk) 15:13, 29 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fordo Rural District

[edit]

Is the "do" in Fordo pronounced like the number 2 in Persian; if so, Fordu is the correct English. English pronunciation of "Fordo" would be "Ford" (like the car)-"O", like "Oklahoma" or "Olympics". Which, and do you have a source for that pronunciation? Carlossuarez46 (talk) 22:10, 9 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I dont have a source for that pronunciation. But pretty sure. the number 2 in Persian pronounced "do" such as "undo". Thanks. Negunbanguni (talk) 07:05, 11 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
