Ahl Iman

[edit]

The term Ahl Iman (Persian: اهل ایمان) has been a famous Persian term used in the translations of the Quran, which brings the meaning people of faith in the English language. This term is first founded in the Persian translation of the Quran by Mirza Mahdi Elahi Ghomshei (1901 - 1973), and this term has been continued to e used by other translations such as the Urdu translation of the Quran by Fateh Muhammad Jalandhry. Two terms with the same name are used below:

1. ای اهل ایمان

It is a Persian variant used by Iranian Shia Muslim scholar, translator and author Mirza Mahdi Elahi Ghomshei to describe the Quranic Arabic-language sign words يأيها الذين آمنوا, which literally meaning in English as o you who believe. In fact, the real English meaning of this term is o people of faith.

2. اے اہل ایمان

It is an Urdu variant used by Fateh Muhammad Jalandhry in his Urdu translation of the Quran to describe the Quranic Arabic-language sign يأيها الذين آمنوا, which brings the same meaning o you who believe in literal English translation. It brings the same meaning as o people of faith in English for this term.

References

[edit]

Hi — I noticed that you've created three articles already, which is great. :) However, you've not cited any sources in them. It is one of the most important things on Wikipedia to back up your articles with credible sources. This is firstly done so that the article subject can be shown to be notable (see WP:N); without notability, the article cannot exist at all. And secondly, every material statement within the article should be supported by citation to a source, so that others can verify the statement and see where it has come from; statements that cannot be thus supported must be removed. I would therefore urge you to add appropriate references and citations to your new articles, because as it stands, they are vulnerable to being deleted. Hope this helps, --DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:50, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Ahl Iman has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:GNG. This term as used by Ghomshei is not discussed in depth in reliable sources (the top Google search result for يأيها الذين آمنوا اهل ایمان is this page)

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Pontificalibus 06:06, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Islam in Slavia moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Islam in Slavia, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. bonadea contributions talk 08:19, 25 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
