Hiding User:lowercase sigmabot III's archiving edits from the watchlist

Is there a way of hiding User:lowercase sigmabot III's archiving edits from the watchlist? Gonnym (talk) 09:14, 22 September 2024 (UTC)

(talk page watcher) @Gonnym: Put this in your CSS
li.mw-changeslist-line:has(a[href="/wiki/Special:Contributions/Lowercase_sigmabot_III"]),
table.mw-changeslist-line:has(a[href="/wiki/Special:Contributions/Lowercase_sigmabot_III"]),
tr.mw-changeslist-line:has(a[href="/wiki/Special:Contributions/Lowercase_sigmabot_III"]) {
  display: none;
}
At Preferences → Watchlist, you also need to enable "Expand watchlist to show all changes, not just the most recent". --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 19:09, 22 September 2024 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Teahouse/Questions/Archive 1210 has duplicate sections

I will remove them and put them in my sandbox.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 22:48, 26 September 2024 (UTC)

Protected edit request on 27 September 2024

The user is somehow abusing html to prevent the showing of the page source code. Where normally it would be visible for a protected page, instead only corrupted right-to-left text that appears visually to show: "{{PleaseDontEdit/}}". I request the page to be edited to prevent this violation of WP:NOTCENSORED and correctly show the page contents. Ergzay (talk) 22:28, 27 September 2024 (UTC)

@Ergzay: That's not the whole story. If I copy the whole of the page source and paste it into Richard Ishida's Unicode code converter, I find that the actual page content is
‮{{/tidEtnoDesaelP}}
The user page therefore transcludes User:Σ/tidEtnoDesaelP; I won't explain further. But you have not shown how the page as it presently stands is in violation of WP:UPNO. Therefore,  Not done for now: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{Edit protected}} template. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 08:04, 28 September 2024 (UTC)

Bot not working (in my talk)

After multiple changes to the template to my talk page, I'm finally taking this here. The bot can't archive my talk page, no matter how hard I try. I will accept any suggestions. Thanks, 🍗TheNuggeteer🍗 11:38, 4 October 2024 (UTC)

@TheNuggeteer: Well, let's have a look at your settings:
{{User:MiszaBot/config
|archive = User talk:TheNuggeteer/Archive %(counter)d
|archiveheader = {{talkarchivenav}}
| maxarchivesize=75,000B
|algo = old(5d)
|counter = 1
|minthreadsleft = 1
|minthreadstoarchive = 1
}}
Straight off, I notice that (except for one line) there are no spaces after the pipes - all of the examples at User:Lowercase sigmabot III/Archive HowTo have one space after each pipe. Second, there's a comma in the value 75,000B - try setting this to 75000B or even 75K Third, you have counter set to 1, but your archives have now reached User talk:TheNuggeteer/Archive 8. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 17:56, 4 October 2024 (UTC)

Avoiding/fixing historically incorrect tag interaction

If possible, if might be useful for the bot to check for unpaired <nowiki>...</nowiki> on the resulting archive page, in order to avoid cases like the one I corrected here. This messy tag interaction never happened on the original page as the tags were there at different times. I guess other tags could make a mess as well, but <nowiki> would seem to be the most potent. It would be difficult to correct these errors automatically, but tagging such archives would allow editors to fix them so that history isn't needlessly distorted. Edit summary of bot edit

Lowercase sigmabot III leaving edit summaries with parenthesis in a wrong way. i know that's not something serious issue with that bot, but maybe something which should to be fixed.kemel49(connect)(contri) 10:48, 19 October 2024 (UTC)

(talk page watcher) @KEmel49: Where? IF there is a problem with an edit, always state which edit. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 13:08, 19 October 2024 (UTC)
I mean the edit summary, that left by that bot. for example, see this edit summary: Archiving 4 discussion(s) to User talk:KEmel49/Archive 3) (bot.(See the use of parenthesis).––kemel49(connect)(contri) 13:21, 19 October 2024 (UTC)
Looks fine to me. Which specfic part is the issue? --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 15:33, 19 October 2024 (UTC)
Use of Parenthesis ...Archive 3) (bot. Did you see that.––kemel49(connect)(contri) 15:39, 19 October 2024 (UTC)
The first one closes the parenthesis that reads, in full, "(Archiving 4 discussion(s) to User talk:KEmel49/Archive 3)"; the second one begins a separate parenthesis that reads, in full, "(bot)". They are the right way around. If they were flipped, you would have "(Archiving 4 discussion(s) to User talk:KEmel49/Archive 3( )bot)" which doesn't make sense. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 16:00, 19 October 2024 (UTC)
See that original edit summary. missing the first and very last parenthesis.––kemel49(connect)(contri) 17:31, 19 October 2024 (UTC)
The outermost pair of parentheses are generated by the MediaWiki software. I'm guessing that your skin is set to Minerva Neue, because in all other skins, the parentheses are shown. Try these links: Cologne Blue; MinervaNeue; Modern; MonoBook; Timeless; Vector (legacy); Vector (2022). --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 21:41, 19 October 2024 (UTC)
