Hi, I was wondering why you archived this thread when it was only 2 weeks old. Also, why did the old 2004 post not get archived? Regards. Eldumpo (talk) 18:02, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
- Probably because the page is set to archive threads that are older than (at most) two weeks, and probably because the timestamp is not formatted as the bot expected. →Σσς. (Sigma) 07:51, 22 June 2017 (UTC)
WikiCup 2017 July newsletter
The third round of the competition has finished in a flurry of last minute activity, with 288 points being required to qualify for round 4. It was a hotly competitive round with all but four of the contestants exceeding the 106 points that was necessary to proceed to round 4 last year. Coemgenus and Freikorp tied on 288, and both have been allowed to proceed, so round 4 now has one pool of eight competitors and one of nine.
Round 3 saw the achievement of a 26-topic Featured topic by MPJ-DK as well as 5 featured lists and 13 featured articles. PanagiotisZois and SounderBruce achieved their first ever featured articles. Carbrera led the GA score with 10, Tachs achieved 17 DYKs and MBlaze Lightning 10 In the news items. There were 167 DYKs, 93 GARs and 82 GAs overall, this last figure being higher than the number of GAs in round 2, when twice as many people were taking part. Even though contestants performed more GARs than they achieved GAs, there was still some frustration at the length of time taken to get articles reviewed.
As we start round 4, we say goodbye to the fifteen or so competitors who didn't quite make it; thank you for the useful contributions you have made to the Cup and Wikipedia. Remember that any content promoted after the end of round 3 but before the start of round 4 can be claimed in round 4. Remember too that you must claim your points within 10 days of "earning" them (some people have fallen foul of this rule and the points have been removed).
If you are concerned that your nomination, whether it be for a good article, a featured process, or anything else, will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. It would be helpful if this list could be cleared of any items no longer relevant. If you want to help out with the WikiCup, please do your bit to keep down the review backlogs! Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. Is something wrong with your bot?...
...or is it the code at Talk:The Holocaust. I noticed that Mr. Lowercase hasn't archived that talkpage since May 21st. Would appreciate someone looking over the code to see if I've missed something. I did adjust the "threads left" to be 4 rather than 5, but I don't really see anything particularly wrong... Shearonink (talk) 23:19, 1 July 2017 (UTC)
- It's a problem with how the page is parsed. I'll look into it. →Σσς. (Sigma) 08:54, 3 July 2017 (UTC)
- @Shearonink: @Seraphim System:'s sig is broken. If someone fixed that, the next time it runs (in 4 hours) it should archive the threads correctly. →Σσς. (Sigma) 19:50, 3 July 2017 (UTC)
- Ok, so with my sig I have gotten a couple of comments, and I have changed it each time this has happened—this has happened more then once, so if someone here can tell me what the problem with it is I will change it again and say the bot ops told me it should be this way next time someone comments on it. I'm not sure what it means that it is broken, my talk page didn't have any problems archiving with the old version. I think I moved span in the brackets after someone asked me to, the way it is here. - Seems the problem is here: ([[User talk:Seraphim System‹<span style="color:#009900">talk]])</span> I would go back to the talk page and sign with ~~~; your current signature looks fine. →Σσς. (Sigma) 22:11, 3 July 2017 (UTC)
- OK I've changed the signature on the page. Seraphim System (talk) 22:16, 3 July 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks to both of you - I couldn't figure out what was wrong with the archiving. Shearonink (talk) 23:08, 3 July 2017 (UTC)
- @Seraphim System: ...except now the post is missing the date/time stamp which is what enables automatic archiving... Shearonink (talk) 23:13, 3 July 2017 (UTC)
- @Shearonink: Ok I restored the time stamp Seraphim System (talk) 23:26, 3 July 2017 (UTC)

EditorInteract appears to be down
http://tools.wmflabs.org/sigma/editorinteract.py
Don't know when this happened, and so don't know whether someone else has already brought this to your attention somewhere, or even where would be the best place to mention it to you, but ... well, the tool has been an incredible help to me and to the project as a whole, and I wanted to thank you for all your hard work. Wikipedia couldn't function without people monitoring the technical side that the rest of us couldn't wrap our heads around if we tried.
Apologies for annoying you with this if you are already working on it, or if you deactivated it yourself because of some maintenance procedure.
Regards,

- Thanks for reporting this problem. I will look into it swiftly. →Σσς. (Sigma) 08:12, 5 July 2017 (UTC)
- Any news on this? Or anything I can do to help? (I'm already on tools labs). GoldenRing (talk) 14:50, 5 July 2017 (UTC)
