Tamil Nadu Electricity Board and TNEB Limited

Hi, Σ. As you made the original merger of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board and TNEB Limited articles, you may be interested to look and comment the current stage with this articles. The discussion is here, the merged and cleaned up article is here, and restored old version are these: Tamil Nadu Electricity Board and TNEB Limited. This is little bit messy as there has been recently a number of copy-paste moves but hopefully the situation is understandable. Your comments are appreciated. I have no strong opinion on the fate of those titles. Σσς(Sigma) 06:22, 2 December 2012 (UTC)

Hu?

Sorry for removing the speedy deletion nomination tag from the page, but I don't understand why my page has been nominated. Please clarify. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jackattack2703 (talkcontribs) 02:11, 4 December 2012 (UTC)

The most basic standard for inclusion in Wikipedia is not whether or not it exists, but notability - that is, whether or not the subject has received attention from the press or other reliable sources. Wikipedia is not a place to establish one's notability, and so an article that does not assert significance or importance can be speedily deleted. Σσς(Sigma) 20:26, 8 December 2012 (UTC)

Grigol Robakidze University

Hello,

I don't understand why should my article "Grigol Robakidze University" be deleted.

This is an article about university. Many Georgian Universities including: "tbilisi state university" "caucasus university" and so on have articles in Wikipedia. I don't understand why is my university different. This isn't article about promotion. I'm still working. Please answer before you delete it.

thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sglonti (talkcontribs) 11:40, 7 December 2012 (UTC)

It looks like the deletion template was removed. The article could do with a few more references, though. Σσς(Sigma) 20:23, 8 December 2012 (UTC)

Lowercast sigmabot error

Hey there. The bot is acting as normal, but can we have it ignore Template:Opentask-short? SuggestBot simply keeps reverting it, and because the template gets transcluded in to a MediaWiki interface message it shouldn't really have the padlock on it. Thanks, Steven Walling (WMF) • talk 07:29, 14 December 2012 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) Probably not the best solution, but once a few more (I have no idea how many) protections are made, it'll drop off the "recently protected" list and LCSB will stop trying to re-add it. Though Σ should probably implement a blacklist of some sort ;) Legoktm (talk) 07:32, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
Hi, the bots continue to edit-war here. Is there any chance of a resolution, one way or the other? --Redrose64 (talk) 09:56, 14 December 2012 (UTC)

Template:Opentask-short

Please look at the history of {{Opentask-short}} — Lowercase sigmabot is editwarring with Suggestbot by reverting it once per hour. I think your bot is doing the right thing, but I'm not completely sure, and before long we'll need to put it on the bot section of WP:LAME. Nyttend (talk) 11:50, 14 December 2012 (UTC)

No need to do anything; Nettrom has reprogrammed his Suggestbot and added the situation to WP:LAME. Nyttend (talk) 02:55, 15 December 2012 (UTC)

Pending changes padlock

Hi there! Would the bot be able to check for the pending changes padlock {{pp-pc1}} on pages with pending protection. The list is held at Special:StablePages. It would be helpful as I've noticed quite a few admins don't seem to add it, and I know when I've put PC on, I assumed a bot would add it as my script doesn't have the PC template option. Thanks in advance! GedUK  13:54, 19 December 2012 (UTC)

MediaWiki already provides a notice for PC-protected pages. I don't think a template would be at all necessary. Σσς(Sigma) 05:10, 29 December 2012 (UTC)

Hi there. I am not really familiar with this user, and all I can see are blocks most recently for block evasion, and for "incivility"/"edit warring" before that. Could you please point out where they have been prohibited from creating Adobe-related redirects (or whichever sanction you believe it is that these pages break)? As I wrote in September:
Although he has not had a ban discussion on AN, he is a globally locked sockpuppeteer. All of his sock accounts are also locked; he is de facto banned globally. Now, per WP:BAN, edits by a banned user can be reverted - the measure of a site ban is that even if the editor were to make good edits, permitting them to re-join the community poses enough risk of disruption, issues, or harm, that they may not edit at all, even if the edits seem good.
It might be worth noting that this reverting is characteristic of others who have caught Rolandhelper socks, Boing! said Zebedee (talk · contribs), for instance. Σσς. 23:15, 18 September 2012 (UTC)
The redirects I tagged can be deleted as G5. Σσς(Sigma) 22:07, 29 December 2012 (UTC)
